| mcecill | I went, and I dont have a low standard for musical talent, I like going to a diverse range of shows, and I got in free, 28$ was a bit much. Andrew WK was hilarious, 3 guitarists, drums, bass, and Andrew all rocking out to their fullest potential, mind you, most of the time all three guitars were playing the same thing. Good for a laugh if nothing more. Danko ripped it up, lots of energy, straight to the point rock, great guitar tone, put on a good show. Oh yeah, Little Hannah was good too, though I dont think many people were there early enough to see them. - Tue, 1 Oct 2002 1:57pm | ||
| Scott Laming User Info... | Yeah I went, and agree that had I not had a free ticket I wouldn't have gone. Danko ripped it up as usual, he's great I hadn't seen him since his first time to Vic back at the Icehouse it was nice to see he hasn't lost any edge. Andrew WK was really fun (read fun not "good") and got the crowd pumped with his 3 chord 5 word songs. A.W.K maybe weak in song writing skills but he makes up for with energy and enthusiasm and he sure isn't passing himself off as a A-1 musician as a matter of fact they said to the audience that they were just trying to make music to get people moving and get your big toe shooting up in your boot and they did accomplish that ! Geeze is the ones who get in for free that are so critical on how many chords are in a song or that it hasn't got 10 minute solos ? Fuck man you got in for free why not try to have a good time cause the rest of us sure did ! Danco was really smoking and after such a high energy show form A.W.K. he was like the icings on the cake and for a Sunday he kept us all there till closing time jumping around like pogo sticks !
