I would like to see a review of the whole show, but it's not my place to write one. All I will say is all the bands were great(The Sweathogs being my fave of the night), and more importantly ALL the people who came out and supported such a great cause.

PUNK KIDS RULE!

Thanks - Sun, 26 Jan 2003 6:02am

From what I saw while I was there, was an exceptional show. Props to Zac and (Scotty?) for putting on a rad show.
Zac- Sorry I didn't help out more, wasn't sure what you needed me to do. Thanks to Pandora Pojects for putting up the venue and everyone else who helped out. The Sweathogs were awesome, better than last time I saw them. They have an interesting sound to them.

The Hoosegow were fast and fun. Missed the prisoner outfits.

Moneyshot was better than I had expected, they also have an original sound, I'd say.

AWT: Do I need to review this? "FUCK YOU" was the coolest song ever, people were getting on teh stage and there was killer motivation during this set, my favourite one all evening.

Gallows End, although I don't really like death metal, were pretty cool.

Good night, and for a good cause. - Sun, 26 Jan 2003 1:20pm

Finally a good sound system at the pandora projects, and a real stage, that was pretty fucking sweet. It always rules to play for a crowd that appreciates what your doing and fucking rights the kids in this city definitely do that. I love playing all ages shows. - Sun, 26 Jan 2003 2:14pm

Yup, mr ross bay pulled it off in fine form.
Thanks from moneyshot for the chance to get up there to play for a cause that's really close to home for me and jeremy.
Was tons of fun, and kinda nostalgic for us rippin through all our old songs, and giving jeremy a chance to play cut time beats again.

The show was great, but it was pretty long though. The stage did make a difference for the sound, but setting it up/down was a lot of work. Mickey Christ and Betty Ford ruled! I never get to see them around, so to those who just took off after AWT finished their set, you'd missed out! I want to pick up a Betty Ford CD could somebody hook me up with that?

Thanks RB and Alcoholly! I'm glad everything went more or less as planned.
I really feel bad for the kid who had his backpack swiped. I heard him tell his friends that they called the cel phone in the bag and some piece of shit answered and told him that he would have to pay to get his bag back. That is as sleazy as it gets. Fuckin' booster bitches! - Sun, 26 Jan 2003 10:14pm

lily_liquor What a crazy night...i started on the week's beer-leftovers waaaay too early. Figured I'd play it smart and start with the lager, move on to the ale, then finish off the malt liquor. What the hell, it's Robbie feckin Burns day! Ya ya, excuses are like assholes...every one's got at least one. - Sun, 26 Jan 2003 11:04pm
Anonymous The show was fu*king great. A good line up of bands and there has not been a good show for a while. But i did not get what was with the lights being on the whole time. - Sun, 26 Jan 2003 11:13pm

Yeah there were a couple people who lost their shit at that show. Kind of a bummer, the coat check room needed numbers and a checkout table, because I myself could have walked out with any backpack I fancied.

Hey Congrats to those of you who worked so hard on this show and of course to the awesome organizer!
Saw it on TV (cuz, well, I don't get out much)
Very well presented, great sound and for a great cause.

The lighting issue is simple: They're either all on or all off in that gym. The solution would have been to rent a light rigging, but that would have been just another headache for poor ol ROSS. Actually, I think it might have been just one of those things that got forgotten in the chaos of the whole thing. - Mon, 27 Jan 2003 4:03am

The lighting didn't bother me that much. I think that when they left one light on it worked fine, and I don't know why they didn't leave it that way, but it matters very little, because all the bands kicked ass. A good time. - Mon, 27 Jan 2003 7:15pm

I posted this elsewhere but i've missed the boat with this thread........... anywho:

WOW! what a great time! i've never been to an all-ages show at The Pandora Project, let alone a cancer benefit of this sort - i am so happy i went.

not normally my scene BUT, i was hugely impressed by the bands that participated - i'll definitely go to more punk shows after seeing all these bands. the kids that were there watching and moshing provided much entertainment too - crazy kids having such a good time!

'Blind Mark' (as they call him) is SUCH a huge talent. the guy sings AND plays drums - kicking ass at both - and he can't see. now is that inspirational or what?! just a little reminder that anyone can do anything...... gawd, a BLIND drummer - too cool.

Jay Brown - holy christ you're an exceptionally amazing drummer to watch. no offense, but i hadn't expected you'd be as good as what i saw and heard. i remember someone on this board hacking you, saying that punk drumming is easy. that person can kiss my ass cause what you did up there was mind-blowing..... like can you say 'perfect meter'? AWT is a band i'm going to check out more often - ROSS B AY mentioned that a few of the songs were new, and that metal infuenced one you did is definitely an easy favourite. cool to see Roy up on stage - i went to school with that fucker - GO HABS GO!

i used to work with Marty - drummer of The Sweathogs - never knew that guy could drum! Marty you RAWK!

Moneyshot did a bunch of songs i have never heard before so that was a treat - too bad you didn't do Paradise City all the way through.... freaking sounded GREAT.

the other bands playing at this thing were fun to watch too. Now I can put faces and sounds to the names - now that I've heard 'em finally.

oh ya, and lastly, i got on TV for being there thanks to Eric of The New VI - musta been the hairdo ; ) - Sun, 26 Jan 11:36pm - Tue, 28 Jan 2003 3:22am

Brilliant show. All the bands deserve compliments for giving up there time. Zak recieves the award for best setup at the Pan. Proj. with no security barrier. All the bands put out a full effort even if they where under the weather. Like "Sickaholic White Trash" ripped it up with Robitussin Roy fighting off the sickness as well as the other 2/3 of the band using the best the pharmacy could offer up. Looking forward to another successfull all ager soon - Tue, 28 Jan 2003 4:11am
