| slEazy User Info... | First up was Acid Wash. Young, enthusiastic, and talented. Not my style of music but they did their style of stoner/sludge rock flawlessly and won the battle with the highest crowd decible reading of the night. Super cool guys too. SICK then took the stage. Now how on earth I have managed to never see these guys before is beyond me. Shit happens. Anyways I was pleasantly surprised. Tuned down Morbid Angel style riffing with a few Sick of it All/Agnostic Front type riffs thrown in to confuse the metalheads, they topped it off with strong diverse high/low death metal vocals. Fuckin awesome. Then came Redheaded Stepchild. Now these guys seem to like their drinkin. This worked out well as it allowed us to steal their booze, equipment and girlfriends.....or we watched them put on an energetic rock ala sugar ray mean machine style set that got the crowd movin. Then Friday Night Murder dragged their 'wa wa have to work in the morning' asses up for a set of in yo face hardcore. The only thing I really remember from this set is that the FNM frontman was so hot. I mean soooo dreamy. Even if you dont like hardcore just being in the presence of such natural beauty makes it....oh nevermind. Good luck to acid wash in the next round. - Wed, 11 Jan 2006 3:21pm | ||

Alcoholicly induced rock 'n' roll.... totally fun band Friday Night Murder kicked ass as usual... gotta hook up more shows with these guys... And of course, S.I.C.K. vomited up a few tunes for ya all... it was the introduction of our new motto "Shut up and play"... | AcidColin User Info... | Thanks for all the awsome feedback, My band acidwash had a blast playing, Hopefully we can get lots of people out to the jan 31st final. I thought this night was pretty sweet, basically every band was fucking solid, and each band really brought a diffrent genre to the table, and owned it. Overall good mix of bands, all the guys from Sick, Friday night murder and red headed were super chill, and talented and rocked harder then most bands in victoria. - Wed, 11 Jan 2006 4:57pm | ||

| Tom User Info... | I had to leave early so the only band I saw was Acidwash. It was my second time seeing them. The first time the sound man was terrible, so I wasn't too struck on them.
