| Wreaker of Havoc User Info... | Big thanks to the brentwood youth for makin so much noise! I was pleasantly surprised with this show. Stage was higher, venue was bigger, sound was better than I could have hoped for. And the almost 200 kids didnt hurt either! AK47 shredded out an intense red set that set the pace for the rest of the show. I missed the 2nd band and made it back in time to see Delicious Face attack the crowd with a set of metal covers that they threw together in a mere 3 weeks. Looking forward to playing with them again when they have originals. Coming soon I was promised! Second Last played a set of Blink 182, Nirvana stuff with some originals. I thought the glass in the place was going to shatter with the shriek of little girls experiencing their first orgasms! Why the hell was I playing metal at that age????? Then Gallows End played. | virge User Info... | What a great show! BIG THANKS to Elizabeth for putting that on. Holy shit, i just can't get over the fact that something that cool took place in Brentwood. Thanks to AK47 for kick starting things so nicely. Next of kin probably played well (i missed all but the last song) but they just weren't my bag. I thought it was pretty funny how the guitarist threw his pick into the crowd of high school girls front row centre, born rock star i suppose. Second to last were alright but i think they could hit harder with more practice and more originals. Delicious anus, i mean face were funny as hell and not bad at all but GE taught those kids a thing or two about how it's done.. up all night and morning playing and partying in Van just to come back and rip it up for an all agers. And to think you only got a 4 out of 5 for 'professionalism', more like a fucking 7. Poor Howard had just come back from the Bahamas the day before so he was totally wrecked and they STILL blew everyone away. Great show, great idea, looking foreward to the next one! It tells everyone that they want to be huge more than they love their music and fans. Everyone played well and gave the crowd their moneys worth. Thats what was important. The big victory of the night was Elizabeth and co. pulling off a huge all ager in Brentwood sucessfully. She should be praised not pestered. But the rest of the band are under 21 (howie goes to school with most of the people in the other bands)and were very excited about competing. Why would I ruin that for them? It was a great experience and the show was a success. I dont hear any complaints from Delicious Face who placed a close second. | H (from GE) User Info... | Hey all, that was a rad show - thanks a lot elizabeth for throwing this one together. A suggestion for next time: perhaps lose the battle of the bands format? Music isn't about who's the better band/artist, it's about the music. (although I have to say it was nice to actually win - i've been playing in bands since i was 12 and this is my first time winning anything, save for that star cinema coupon from the stelly's talent show a few years back) Also, if anyone is truly bothered about some of our members being a little older, i should note that the next of kin members all graduated a while ago. So if you're looking for a highschool battle of the bands, stelly's should be holding theirs in early april.
