I Kissed Lucia User Info... | Shit yes it was good! Always a fucking pleasure to see the Switchblades And, although the Rod Iron Hauler's front man looks like he came straight out of a hardcore band, they put on a killer set and a killer fucking mosh So, I was skeptical, to say the least, about seeing The Misfit (Jerry should give up the S since he's the only one left). And those monday mag articles didn' t help that. But, shit was it ever good Jerry does a pretty wicked job on vocals, and being a 300 pound beefcake he's got quite a stage presence. Robo's a killer little drum machine back there, and Dez, despite looking a lot like Mortiis, rocked quite the fuck out Couldn't even remember a set list if I had too, but I do remember feeling thirty people around me soil themselves when they played Hybrid Moments. And American Psycho (maybe by demand of the screaming guy next to me "PLAY AMERICAN PSYCHO, I'M DRUNK AND SCREAMING, LOOK AT ME I'M WACKY, PLAY THE DAMN SONG" ). err coffee's brewing, work work, shit what a good night - Sat, 8 Oct 2005 11:54am
I Kissed Lucia User Info... | ps: drunk sluts WILL show their tits to misfits please remember this if and when Jerry Only asks you tour with the misfits - Sat, 8 Oct 2005 12:03pm
rickylong User Info... | photos anyone? It was a show that my wallet wasn't fat enough for. The last time i saw the misfits I just want to say Jerry Only was a fine dood. He respects his fans and didn't have any problem with shaking your hand or giving your girl a hug. Considering his appearnce and the brutal music he executes he seems to be way cooool. I'm feelin a little bummed i didn't go.... but please someone don't tell me that any Black Flag songs where played with Robo and Dez on stage... if you say yes then i will be really bummed! -ricky jak - Sun, 9 Oct 2005 9:02am
_Griphin_ User Info... | I'm still bummed that Sugar charges what they do for non-alcoholic drinks, hence why I didn't go. I'm rather bummed out about that. - Sun, 9 Oct 2005 10:47am
Helonwheels User Info... | i didn't go either(broke ass) but i did hear that they did infact play some Black Flag plus one of my favs "Helena". Can't make em all i guess, still sucks tho. - Sun, 9 Oct 2005 1:29pm
Jesspsycho User Info... | I went but I showed up way too drunk and half way through the show so I couldn't really enjoy but I did spend way too much money on over priced drinks and shooters. Just a word of advice..... you dont really NEED to buy a shooter every time you order a drink. Hahaha. All in all I had a good time but I didn't realize the show started so early so I only saw about half to Misfits. Oh well.... I heard it was a good show. - Sun, 9 Oct 2005 5:01pm
_Griphin_ User Info... | >> Just a word of advice..... you dont really NEED to buy a shooter every time you order a drink. Yes you do!!! :) - Sun, 9 Oct 2005 8:46pm

Anyone know if nomeansno will be playing any time soon? have the urge to see them... Oh - and Griphin, i get my diet cokes for free wherever i go, including sugar - people are cool like that if you ask nice and if not you can drink about a million for 2 bucks with free refills.. - Mon, 10 Oct 2005 11:27am
I Kissed Lucia User Info... | Shit yes they played some Black Flag. Dez annoucned before every song that it was another black flag track and most people there seemed to really get into it can't say that I know much black flag but my dad loves the shit so he was jealous as fuck to hear that at 1/3 of the set list was ripping black flag tunes but yeah They DID play Angelfuck, so fuck yeah - Tue, 11 Oct 2005 12:48pm
sam User Info... | ya, they played the songs i mentioned above but the set list was not 1/3 black flag tunes - more like 3 or 4 songs - we don't want to bum ricky out too much! - Tue, 11 Oct 2005 3:24pm
_Griphin_ User Info... | Hmnnnn Sam, I must be doing something wrong then. Next time I should buy one water and get all my refills from the taps in the washroom! Actually I didn't want to rip off Sugar so that's why I kept buying water. Oh and I saw Black Flag at OAP years ago, too bad I missed the Misfits doing Black Flag, that would of rocked!!! - Tue, 11 Oct 2005 4:18pm
rickylong User Info... | Thanks for the info sam.... you have made my week! Depressions got ahold on me, Depression, i wanna be free! ohh well at least Greg Ginn wasn't there... check out this intense photo of Black Flag at the oap 82 ish.. no tattoos on henry. brad User Info... | ricky...who else played the OAP show with Black Flag? - Wed, 12 Oct 2005 6:32pm
Flow artist User Info... | You don't want to rip off sugar by using tap water instead of buying it? That's honest haha if I were you I wouldn't worry about them losing money knowing how much they charge for beer. - Wed, 12 Oct 2005 8:46pm
Ty Stranglehold User Info... | Was it this one? Flag played here twice if I'm not mistaken. - Wed, 12 Oct 2005 8:50pm
brad User Info... | holy fuck...now there's a show i'd love to have been at. - Wed, 12 Oct 2005 9:39pm
_Griphin_ User Info... | How odd... I saw Black Flag at the OAP, but it wasn't that gig, the gig poster I think had a black background. Dustin apparently has a copy of that poster. Here's what I can remember, they had a female bassist, and Henry's sun tattoo was AMAZING to see! I do believe Black Flag and another band played, oh and they wouldn't let me in with my ghetto, even though I said I wasn't planning to record the gig (pity noone did), oh and Henry and there bassist asked if there was somewhere for the band (I think) to crash out at. Man those were the days, and it seems I was the only punk rocker without spiked hair/mohawk, sorta like I am today. :) BTW rickylong, got any more of those photos you'd be willing to upload here?!? I'm still bummed out I missed DK all three times when they played here. - Wed, 12 Oct 2005 10:36pm
sam User Info... | great pic ricky - holy noodle arms henry! cute little bugger though. wish i was as old as you guys so i could have gone too... haha - Thu, 13 Oct 2005 2:59pm
rickylong User Info... | Black Flag.... my top ten for sure. Actually Black Flag played the OAP 3 times and cancelled on the forth time due to snow. So the Mighty BF would have played our little old Hictoria 4 times. They even brought St Vitus with them one time... HOLY SHIT i get goose bumbs thinking about these shows. Nig Hiest where rude, Meat Puppets rocked, and Tom Tricollis Dog where fun.Black Flag where a touring band! Gregg Gin played solo at harpos one night also... that was fuckin amazing. Yes i have more pics but my scanner is NA so you'll have to wait for the book... just kidding. and to think if i was a lemming and stuck to the shitty music that CKDA played all day i would have missed all those great gigs! Although i must confess... i went and saw Trooper at the Memorial Areana.... but shittt i also saw Scorpions and Iron Maiden at the Memorial Arena.... and the Ramones! But heckkkkk there still is alot of great bands touring and coming to our town. As well as local acts that are just as good.... well maybe not quite as good as Black Flag! -roger Daughltry hope i die before i get old - Thu, 13 Oct 2005 9:20pm
rickylong User Info... | This is the show you went to Griff... you gotta remember St Vitus!!! if any of you folks haven't heard St Vitus you better find some and when you put it in your music box turn it up loud! -ricky jak - Thu, 13 Oct 2005 9:43pm

Did any of you rich kids take any pics to post here so you don't have look at these stupid old Black Flag posters or read about shit by stupid old men!!!! Lets see some Misfits pics! -ed vein - Thu, 13 Oct 2005 9:48pm
Ty Stranglehold User Info... | Its more fun to post old gig flyers than talk about the "Misfits" - Thu, 13 Oct 2005 10:22pm
_Griphin_ User Info... | Yikes, that was who played before Black Flag? Wow, at the time it wasn't such a big deal to me. I should hunt down some Saint Vitus fast. I know Flow Artist, that's still my bad trait, honesty. - Fri, 14 Oct 2005 12:19am
rickylong User Info... | Heyyy Ty and Griph I think i just called us stupid ole men.... what does this mean? we're stuck in the past and we should be grown up by now and this shouLd be a post on our in depth review of the latest Robert Plant show. Rawb User Info... | I gotta tell ya, perhaps there was a good deal of drinking going on that night (I'm straight), but it seems like everyone here was at a different show from the one I witnessed. That was without a doubt one of the most half-hearted, souless sets of live music I've ever seen. Can anyone say "cash-grab"? Used bass strings and drumsticks for sale. Yeesh... The songs were played at a speed that completely stripped any sense of melody or personality away. When Jerry "sang" the chorus of "Angelfuck" he wasn't even in the correct register for the song. The key was possibly inquestion as well. For a band who's most marked characteristic in their prime was the posssession of one of the greatest singers in punk rock history this guys vocals were a travesty. Robo, god love'em...It was cool to see him. And it was an amusement to see him and Dez do "Six Pack". Fun. But that's about it. Not punk that's for sure and nowhere near Hardcore. Robo's drumming for anything outside of the "Earth AD" material was pretty average and downright bad on songs like "Some Kinda hate" which require a bit of swing in their delivery. These guys have been playing for over 25 years in a live capacity I would expect more than what sounded like a hastily cobbled together Misfits cover (not even TRIBUTE) band. - Fri, 14 Oct 2005 6:10pm
_Griphin_ User Info... | Naaa... it just that I saw a very cool band a long time ago. Pity I missed Green Day and DRI tho'. rickylong: You saw Iron Maiden at the Arena? You saw the first concert they played in Canada. That musta been interesting. Used drum sticks?!? Excellent!!! Good thing I didn't go, I would of felt so bummed about that. - Fri, 14 Oct 2005 9:47pm
