Head Like A Hole

Had a blast on the floor. Missed Autolux due to long bus rides. QOTSA was okay. After everyone's raves from the last show in Van, I was expecting a rockin' show by them. It didn't really jump out at me as better than any other run of the mill rock band until the last four songs. Then the set started to impress me.

NIN was amazing. Saw them on the Fragile tour and they impressed me then. No different this time. I was up front for almost the whole thing. I took a "break" for a drink of water after Gave Up and came back and watched the "mellow" section of the show (with the video stuff) from the soundboard area. The visuals were both amazing and haunting. Left a pit in my stomach. Then once the rockin' started again, waited a bit to actually take in the show. The stage set was cool, but not as cool as the fragile visuals. Great mix of new stuff and old stuff. I was happy with the song selection other than Deep. I've never been a fan of that tune.

Oh, and to the assholes on the floor that grab onto girls for the excuse of "keeping them from falling down", watch for flying elbows. If I say, hands off...I mean hands off. - Tue, 27 Sep 2005 6:36pm

yah it was a pretty damn good show, I wedged myself in with about 2 or 3 people squished in front of me, dead centre. I don't mind being crushed, or even having to duck crowdsurfers, but the one thing that bugs me about concert rookie moshers is that they stick their elbows out everywhere. Had one guy who kept putting his elbows on the guy between me and him, so he kept wacking my head, then they guy behind me get driving his elbows right into my spine, i kept trying to crush his feet (and i think it worked, because he took a pot shot at my feet), but I don't think he really got why I was doing it. Most everyone else was doin the normal thing, of using your forearms to hold yourself up, so you don't cause bone searing pain to the person in front of you... but theres always those rookies at GA shows, and you put up with it, got me a nice welt from that mofo on my back :)

its too bad livevicscott is on vacation, that was one mofo who knows how to take down the assholes in less then 10 seconds :) - Tue, 27 Sep 2005 7:30pm

The girl behind me kept like poking my junk by accident. It was annoying, especially considering the fact I had a man-ass like less than an inch from my crotch.
*cough*

Fuck, I can't believe they played Eraser :D - Wed, 28 Sep 2005 6:54pm
