john User Info... | The three super long lines and drunk and annoying patrons made the journey to the only band at folkfest I wanted to see tumultuous, but the end result was an endearing and fun double set that caught the ear of the diverse crowd of beer swilling partiers. Some stayed a while, others even longer. I belive my girlfriend and I were the only people there exclusivly for aqueduct with the excpetion of my friend mark (nice surprise!). Unfortunately due to the insane lines I missed most of the first set and my schedule made it impossible to stay for the entirety of the second set. Regardless of the lenthgy lines standing next to people who wanted to a) see k-os b) get drunk or c)"get drunk and go see k-os", the show was amazing, fun! and well worth the trying journey. I intentionaly neglected to talk about the performances much themselves, for anyone who knows aqueduct knows what to expect, and anyone who doesnt would be unable to really get it if I described everything... but alas for the uninformed I will sum up the performance as - similar to The Unicorns with more sampling and less homo-eroticism, not none, just less, equal heart. - Mon, 4 Jul 2005 8:29pm
Wheate User Info... | You, my friend were not the only one there solely for Aqueduct. K-OS and his junos can lick my nooksack for all I care. I am so glad that these guys ditched their independance day to come to Victoria, I remember doing a double take when I first saw these guys on the bill as they were one of my favorite bands to listen to at the time, and man did they not dissapoint. What did dissapoint was the lack of forsight by the FolkFest organizers. What the hell were they thinking with the way the line was working? Brutal. Even a few sets of those classic velvet crowd containers would have been welcome to keep the drunk ass scenesters inline and me without fucking beer on my back. Whatever. Good show, great band. - Mon, 4 Jul 2005 9:45pm
mark User Info... | John, i too was overjoyed to see you their to enjoy the poppolious tomfoolary that was Aqueduct!!! Great show from beginning to end. With sample heavy bands like this, you often don't know what your going to get. A two man kareoke act perhaps..... not Aquedact. They seriously rocked out and genuinely loved playing to a crowd that was probably more interested in beer then the band. What a treat, especially for $5! - Tue, 5 Jul 2005 8:57am
