Events User Info... | HOUSE OF BLUES CONCERTS CANADA presents FOO FIGHTERS With special guestS FRIDAY, AUGUST 5TH PACIFIC COLISEUM DOORS 6:30 pm SHOW 7:30 pm **GENERAL ADMISSION FLOOR / RESERVED STANDS** FOO FIGHTERS GET SET TO PERFORM LIVE IN VANCOUVER IN EARLY AUGUST The Foo Fighters may be one of the most unlikeliest rock 'n' roll success stories ever. Imagine: drummer for the biggest rock band in the world goes on to form another group that, with every record, gets better and bigger. No one would have predicted, with the demise of Nirvana, that Dave Grohl would go on to become frontman of one of the most respected post-punk bands in America. But that's exactly what happened, and with the release of the Foo Fighters' fifth record In Your Honor the quartet has achieved an almost unparalleled marriage of hard-rock energy and sublime balladry. In Your Honor separates the band's sides on two separate discs, with crackling, melodic rockers like "No Way Back" and "Best of You" filling one and subtle, melancholy acoustic tracks taking up the other. The ambitiousness of the project has paid off with arguably the best record of the band's career. This album is one that once and for all establishes the Foo Fighters as one of the best rock groups of the decade, and one that always delivers 100 per cent in its jaw-dropping live performances. Don't miss the Foo Fighters live at the Pacific Coliseum on Friday, August 5th with special guests. Tickets: $37.50 & $47.50 (INCL. GST) + f.f. + s/c Tickets available at all Ticketmaster outlets Charge By Phone 604-280-4444 Order on-line at http://www.ticketmaster.ca or http://www.hob.ca **GENERAL ADMISSION FLOOR / RESERVED STANDS** TICKETS ON SALE SATURDAY, JUNE 25 @ 10:00 AM - Tue, 21 Jun 2005 4:02pm

ska-t User Info... | so they dropped the ticket price and CFOX has 100 tickets to give away.. looks like pre-sales aren't doin too well. - Wed, 27 Jul 2005 6:39pm
Sati User Info... | I wonder why? Not like I listen to that kinda stuff, or listen to comm. radio at all, but they're one of those type bands I kinda liked way back, the singles at least. ..... and seeing dave grohl with queens was really an awesome experience. he's got some kind of energy. - Wed, 27 Jul 2005 6:55pm
ska-t User Info... | I like the foo fighters too. not a fan of colliseum shows though.. although maybe this means the scalpers will drop their prices as well.. I'd go for 10-15 bucks. - Wed, 27 Jul 2005 7:09pm
Sati User Info... | wow, they go down to 10-15 bucks? I've never gone to scalpers before. I wouldn't say I LIKE them. I kinda bopped around to a couple of songs, and then heard the entire album (whenever way back that was) and wasn't impressed with much else. Decent pop though. But to see him totally STORMING with Queens was impressive - didn't know he had it in him. - Wed, 27 Jul 2005 7:17pm
ska-t User Info... | I've seen The WHO 4 times.. each time from scalpers last minute.. usually for between 10-20 bucks. (from 60+) the trick (at least with the Who) is too wait about 20 minutes into their set.. then the Scalpers scramble to get rid of their excess tix. (Keep in mind the Who usually play 2 1/2 - 3 hours..) - Wed, 27 Jul 2005 7:24pm
_Griphin_ User Info... | *Grin* Hearing they had to drop the price of the tickets really makes me smile! Seriously, seeing the Foo live would be a trip, it's too bad I can't travel to Vancouver to see them and they're not playing Victoria. That'll teach their management!!! :) - Thu, 28 Jul 2005 6:17am
