Message Board > Show Reviews > the BREAKDOWN, HOURS BEFORE DAWN, ANITA HOARE, and the BURBS @ fernwood, june 18th |
duncan User Info... | i don't usually start these things but i figure someone should because it was worth a review. the breakdown - they played a beatles cover. hours before dawn - the guitarist ripped a fret of his guitar. thats rad. anita hoare - didnt catch much of their set but they seemed talented the burbs - ok this is why i posted this review. these guys layed down the sick classic rock. it was really odd because when they played i didnt feel like i was at a show or if i had to decide if i liked them. from the first song, the energy was really good and the whole band looked like they were having a good time. the crowd had wicked energy too. it was more like sitting in on a bands jam. anyways their energy was sick, the doors-esqe pickless lead guitar was enjoyable, the lead vocalist's epic fist pumps were tantilizing, and the cowbell was a definitive point in their set. as far as the show, hybrid busted out a nice little stage with great sound and lights etc. there was even some fire breathing. thats a crazy stunt. word - Sun, 19 Jun 2005 10:56am | ||
