| Tyler User Info... | Modern Day Fire - better than I expected, some awesome songs, the vocals I really liked (of what I could hear anyway) - the vox sounded really emo violence / true screamo -esque. that combined with a hardcore-influenced sound resulted in a band I enjoyed. Temper - Fucking sweet as always. Went out with a bang. I got a shirt. And lots of pics. War By Other Means - The usual INSANE amount of energy, pile-ons, etc. Whatever broke out during your set was stupid but seemed to be a misunderstanding. Why is there drama at EVERY show lately? Fighting back creates fights. NEVER FIGHT at an all ages show. Blacklisted - They were great. The set seemed really short, maybe cause I was enjoying them so much. I didn't talk with them, were they cool guys? did they enjoy the scene here? So all in all, a great hardcore show. It was rad that some younger kids are getting exposed to hardcore, also. I would also like to thank hunter and everyone involved in capture the flag. It was cool. I took 200 pictures with the help of Amanda, because my dear friend Troy had an injured hand. | darcy User Info... | Fantastic show, great crowd (minus fighty and bitty). Modern Day Fire - Really reminded me of 80's metal. Keep up the good work guys. I thought the sound levels seemed sort of muddy at times, maybe that was just the set up on the instruments. Temper - great set, v.i.c., yo. Good moshin', even if Hunter did beam me in the nose *shakes fist* WBOM - Better and better every show. Really amazing stuff! Hope you guys stick around for a bit longer. Blacklisted - Slayed!!! I don't know what the whole story about the fighting was, but from what I saw: Guy moshing, Mike went to do some dancin', he accidently nudged the guy. Meh. Temper - They did awesome, it's a shame that they're breaking up, I heard Dan's moving to Montreal? If so, when? WarBOM - Probably my favorite local band. All the songs besides the new ones had massive amounts of pileons, and the band put out huge amounts of energy as usual. The fight was dumb. Agreed. Blacklisted - After their set, all I could say was "oh my goodness... Oh my goodness..." They were the best hardcore band I've ever seen live, it was amazing. | Brian VIHC User Info... | Yes the turnout was one of the best we've ever had at James Bay and it was the most I've ever been able to pay a single out of town band. Good work kids!!! I'd appreciate it if no drama erupts in this thread. Even if someone attempts to incite it I'd really like just show reviews - keep the pointless arguments to the "controversy" board, thanks! For whatever anyone thinks of it, I had to step into the problem last night and deal with it in as quick and efficient a way as possible so WBOM could continue playing. I'm sorry if anyone thinks what I did wasn't fair but neither was causing a problem during the show. My favourite part of the night was the deranged girl with the foot-high mohawk who is apparently War By Other Means' biggest fan, even if she has no idea what we're called or who we are. | Mikey User Info... | Hardcore isn't really mt thing anymore, but I thought this show was pretty rad. I agree that it was rad to see some younger kids coming around for their first shows. Modern day fire are pretty enjoyable, same with temper, and war by other means is always a nice treat to see. The fight was stupid, as most are, but Brian and others stepped in and dealt with it quickly, which was good, so two thumbs up to brian and the others that stopped the fight.
