JasonLove User Info... | Maurice - sick as per ussual. Only JP and Simon were there but they kicked it acoustic. Every single person in the world needs to bu thier CD when it comes out. Period. Away Ri'o - First time seeing these guys. They were pretty rad. I really dug the singer. He had some really cool vibrato going on. Nick Thorton - First of all, thank you to Nick for putting on the AIDS benifit. It is a great cause to support and well worth everyones time and money. Him and his band played preatty well. Definitly some tunning problems all around though. The guitar was out of tune with itselfand the bass (I am pretty sure) was about a half step sharp to the guitar. Nothing that can't be solved with a tuning pedal. other than that, good job guys. black tie social - Thank you to everyone who chilled late with us on a Sunday evening. You guys held down the fort! Also, thank you VERY MUCH to Mike on sound and all the wonderful staff at the Central Bar & Grill. They do ALOT to promote live music in Victoria soyou should patronize them as much as possible. And here comes the shameless self-promo... Check out black tie at White Eagle hall on June 17th with Stone Creek (and maybe some more rice) and on the 25th at the Garry Oak Room with Suburbia, Kilamanca and The Vendors. - Mon, 13 Jun 2005 2:56pm
psycho chic User Info... | Really wanted to go to this show but instead go dragged by boyfriend to see "Mr and Mrs Smith". Rent it. So thanks for the recount. I've always wondered what Maurice sounds like acoustic. My brother is the bass player and so he's obviously not a part of those shows. Will have to check it out next time. BTW, isn't Maurice playing on June 17 as well? - Tue, 14 Jun 2005 6:01am
