| The Wolf User Info... | "When the band BC/DC takes the ferry to Vancouver Island from Nelson for a gig, the fare is just the beginning of what they pay. Waiting for a ferry at Swartz Bay Saturday, lead singer Brian Bon Jon-Scottson said the five band members will get breakfast on the ferry -- which will cost about $10 each -- and there will also be a stop at the massage chairs. For bass player Spliff Swilliams much of the ferry trip is spent in the arcade. "It's only when we arrive that he ends his game," Jon-Scottson said. The band paid $200 for two vehicles and all the members to head back to the mainland after playing shows in Duncan and Victoria, plus all the extras on the ship. Although B.C. Ferry Services has applied to raise fares an average of eight per cent to cover rising fuel costs, it is also hoping more people spend like Jon-Scottson and his band mates. | Brandon User Info... | Thats why you gotta sneak people on the ferry. In OneDrop we got upwards of 7 dudes, we have never had to pay full fare, even when we got busted. Just play dumb and say you thought the fare was vehicle and driver. The scam can save you like 30-40 bucks for 3 free passengers. - Mon, 13 Jun 2005 1:51pm | ||
