Curmudgeon Rocker User Info... | Neat! The band called Everyone I Know Must Die from Montreal must've been christened by Mike Alexander (HHC). I have misgivings about the syntax of that name, however. - Fri, 10 Jun 2005 1:52pm

the hesher User Info... | canon docre I can't believe that you are condoning the use of alcohol. Pretty cool man ya. Lets have us a kegger!!! neehaw. I cant stand the jock mentality that is so prevailant in you damned pesky islanders. Real childish. - Sat, 11 Jun 2005 1:43pm
Curmudgeon Rocker User Info... | canon.docre: I would be honoured to be on the bill - it would be a stone groove kind of thing. We're playing on the 9th at Logan's, so I don't it want it to be overkill, though. I dunno - if you think it is, no biggie if you get someone else. You should try maybe Acherontic, considering a.) their demi-god-likeness and b.) they're Victoria's hottest new sound sensations of real power-specialness. c.) they can rock most people's socks off. - Sat, 11 Jun 2005 4:36pm
the hesher User Info... | That was my best canon docre imitation. Pretty poor I know. Hey Doug I talked to Braden about that thingy and we are gonna get on it in the next little while so start saving up your empties. - Sun, 12 Jun 2005 8:56am

Sati User Info... | How come no one wrote anything? I wrote this that night but never posted cuz I was waiting for YOU guys! =========== yes Yes YES! That was one KILLER show! I'll let other people go off about the out of towners.. none disappointed. I'm just so stoked about our own. We couldn't hear lead vocals during LfL but they're such a great band, it almost didn't bother me. Drummer's doing such playful/interesting work and Jeff's such a great guitar player.. the old-school riffage he plays around with.. the psychedlic stuff he dabbles with. They haven't completely blown me away yet, but they're not aiming for precision.. they probably could, but they're at the stage where they're patient and more aiming for fun and expansion.. some of my favorites in town for sure. I especially liked ripping 'em off outside.. 2 LfL patches, a tape, 2 Distorted Riffs zines.. all for like, coins - bwahahaha! And that big beaming smile never fades!! Mass Grave.. its been so long since I've seen them and man have they gotten good! The problem with seeing some bands in their infancy is that you see them too early and they're still finding their sound, they're still working at it.. etc. And then you get that stage stuck in your head when you think of them. But each time I've seen them since they've proved their worth by leaps and bounds. Coupled with the fact that they're really active supporters/promoters of their scene, and people kinda start thinking that thats their forte, and that playing isn't. Au contraire.. they're a totally solid band and have been for a while now. I'll be excited to see them again. Maybe cuz of being put off not being able to hear LfL's vocals, I bailed and just watched Hesher drum through the whole set - and never got bored or disappointed. The cool thing about him is that he stays within his means and does it totally WELL, while other drummers push themselves beyond their capabilities, i.e. try to do too much and fuck up. He was totally focussed and delivered with absolutely no fear. Chaos Assassin blew my mind.. the precision of the whole band and explosive impact of some of those (lead) vox during the first half of their set kinda shook us all up.. not just one but 3 impressive vocalists (skill, technique, intent).. great arrangements.. drums that total rival my faves in Vancouver (which is ridiculously hard to fathom). It just didn't make sense - aren't they a new band? I think maybe I was wrong about them being THAT good and that I need another look see. Hesher, work your magic (* ting! *) again please. And good meeting you MtBenzite & mutilashawn! Were any other LiveVic types out there? Who was that guy standing with me and Adam GBlood? And congrats to that kid who won the give-away stuff - he kept coming back buying more and more tickets.. "i've got almost 2 bucks more, oh, I found some more, can I have another one".. I think he just totally bought all that merch! haha.. good for you, the out of towners probably got an extra couple of bellyfulls cuz of you. THANKS everyone who put together, played, saw that show.. that was such a great time! total respect. - Tue, 26 Jul 2005 3:15pm
Mutilashawn User Info... | wow, thanks for the kind words Sati. I'm the guitarist for Chaos Assassin. I had way too much fun at this show . . and considering it was the first underground show I've ever played/attended in Vancouver I think it could not have gone better. Chaos Assassin is taking a short hiatus while Scott tours with Iskra in Europe(the band is a side project for all of us anyway) but I'm sure we'll be back. Every band blew me away. The highlight of my night was the Everyone I Know Must Die drummer's blasts!!! I look forward to more all grind shows!! - Tue, 26 Jul 2005 7:41pm
Sati User Info... | Well, thats maybe why you seemed so freakin' familiar when we met - cuz I'd been staring at you point blank for a half hour earlier in the evening! awesome. I wish you guys could've been there last night.. it was a crime that you weren't cuz the show was simply too good to be true. - Wed, 27 Jul 2005 10:02am
