Holy Shit User Info... | Holy shit. Probably one of the most amazing shows that has come of Lucky Bar or the city in a good long while. The phenominal energic output of all the groups, stacked in an ascending order, climaxing with Against Me! in a fit of brilliance. Any one who wasn't one of the bodies packed into Lucky bar missed something intensely impressive/beautiful. - Wed, 8 Jun 2005 7:41am
Anonymous User Info... | agreed, against me continues to be a very special band. no other like it. - Wed, 8 Jun 2005 8:33am
Wheate User Info... | MBD, the best 40 minutes of music this year. Blood Nasty, the embodiment of human feces sculpted quite successfully into a "band." Shame on the promoter for putting them on the bill, but I cant really complain about this show, soooooooo good, congrats on bringing a show like this to Lucky bar. Can't wait for Ted Leo........... - Wed, 8 Jun 2005 12:41pm
YouEnjoyMyself User Info... | Yes Wheate my friend, twas a good evening....at least after the first opener's set ended. I'm not joking here, I've never had to leave the venue during a band's set because their "music" (and I use the term very lightly) was so damn bad. Pain inducing would be a good description of the the sound Bloody Nasty embodies. Cringe-worthy would be another one that springs to mind. Luckily, redemption was not far off and Murder By Death came out and with the first note, they had topped Blood Nasty's set. Holy fuck, this band blew me away. Definitely in the top 3 performances I've ever seen. Ever. If anyone ever has a chance to see MBD in the future, do it and you won't be sorry. Anyways, a damn good time at Lucky and a wicked show. - Wed, 8 Jun 2005 2:18pm
Chuck User Info... | Well I had a throughly great time at this show, and have something good to say about all the bands. I walked in during the Blood Nasty set, and wow they are coming along quite nicely, I like Ty as a vocalist and guitarist, but especially his vocals. I will now leave them alone as I am bias as they are my friends. I watched a couple Murder By Death tunes as I did not think they were going to be my thing from what I had downloaded, and I really respected the electric cello but wasn't really into the whole thing. I did think that the way the drummer sat and was lit, made him look like Frankenstein's monster... Against Me! wow what can I say except they were absolutley amazing and I feel sorry for those who were not there. Hell I even danced to Pinst of Guiness Make you Strong. - Wed, 8 Jun 2005 4:04pm
c.r.g. User Info... | I missed blood nasty but from what I gathered, Wheate, they were already playing that night and the promoter had to add MBD and AM to the bill because there was no other venue and didn't want to conflict with that show. Against me were amazing, though the new songs were a bit disappointing and made the set less solid, but the old songs were great and I think everyone left damned impressed. - Wed, 8 Jun 2005 5:46pm
