Hobbit User Info... | Thu. July 7th $20+ @ The Drink/Red Room (No Minors) House of Blues Concerts Canada presents: Hate Eternal, Krisiun, Jungle Rot, INTO ETERNITY, All Shall Perish - Sat, 14 May 2005 4:01pm
Curmudgeon Rocker User Info... | Well I sure enough have my ticket for this one. Good deal for five bands at this level. Not sure why Into Eternity was capitalized - I'd rather cap the first two bands - both those bands have the most INSANE drummers. /not sure if I'll do my 'shrooms for that. - Sat, 14 May 2005 6:58pm
Curmudgeon Rocker User Info... | I guess next time I'll check the "tour dates" section in a band's website to make sure they are in fact gonna play that date, before buying a fucking ticket for it. I checked Krisiun's dates - Calgary on the 5th, Portland on the 8th. This is turning out to be a 'no Krisiun in Van. again' jinx/curse. I think I need Kobe Tai on my lap right now. - Fri, 20 May 2005 6:03pm
XY-SATAN User Info... | I love INTO ETERNITY ! LOL ! - Fri, 20 May 2005 6:51pm
Sati User Info... | I'll try to find out what I can about Krisiun... Its capped just cuz whoever input the show in our profiles capped it and the poster just took from our listings.. people usually do that for local bands so they seem BIGGER.. haha. In this case it should be capped though cuz Stumega Crom's singing for them -thats big to some of us! - Fri, 20 May 2005 10:36pm
Nik Olaz User Info... | mehhhhh i was gonna go mainly because of Incantation....now im not too interested. - Fri, 20 May 2005 11:07pm
Sati User Info... | Ok, some people were asking about whether the lineup had changed. As of this morning HOB says: It's Hate Eternal, Krisiun, Into Eternity and Jungle Rot. Who's all coming out for it? - Mon, 4 Jul 2005 7:31am
Mutilashawn User Info... | I'll be there for Hate Eternal and Krisiun and I'll be there to FUCKING BOOOO jungle rot OFF THE STAGE!!!!! (they didn't deserve to have a capitalized name) - Mon, 4 Jul 2005 8:14am

Sati User Info... | Well, the guy I talked to said an 8:15 start.. but it sounded like he could have been guestimating.. it won't be earlier though. - Thu, 7 Jul 2005 10:18am
SentencedtoBurn User Info... | Wow was that ever fucking awesome. Both Krisiun and Hate Eternal ruled, and Derek Roddy is the shit. And the sound system in there was crushing. On a related note, I'm pretty sure a spent a large portion of the evening headbanging in the front row next to that Mutilashawn chap (sp.?) - I was wearing a None So Vile longlseeve, you in turn, were clutching a lot of grapefruit. Saw a lot of other familiar faces from Vic there as well. i, however, was too fucked up to form coherent sentences, and was unable to establish conversation with anyone. - Fri, 8 Jul 2005 2:43pm
Sati User Info... | Yeah, that was a great show. IE weren't in the same style as the rest, but there were a lot of people stoked about that set. Cool that you (and others) were into the sound there, cuz the sound guy's an old pro from way back, and it'd be great to see more shows there. I spent most of my time sidestage with a clear view of the drummers, partly so I could watch their amazing work, but also cuz I seemed to be able to hear what I needed to better over there. I wish I could say I was too messed to be sociable, but the truth is I geek out half the time cuz I get shy and kinda freaked out in crowds. Thats why I bail on everyone and find a spot alone sometimes. Anyway, from talking with people after, I seemed to be in the minority in thinking that HE topped Krisiun. I was saying the drumming was way more fluid, so the set came off more effortless, seamless. Krisiun may have had more stuff going on - and they were awesome - but it seemed like they were really working, so it lacked in as much groove, which is what I'm after. But I'm told I'm just WRONG, haha.. fair enough ya buncha dorks.. - Sat, 9 Jul 2005 12:14pm
Perpetual_Burn User Info... | The new Hate Eternal cd is great and should be heard by all Brutal Metal fans, and Derek Roddy was an Amazing drummer to see play live! Euro Blasts with a second snare, hitting the first snare on the 3rd count of every bar, the guy is an innovative drummer, not to mention one of the best in his genre. Hate Eternal were as amazing as I figured they would be, despite the lack of the second guitarist I read about on their site that was added recently. Here's to stage presence! Krisiun had great sound, everything was remarkably level for a small club with a so-so sound system. The sound in there reminded me of The Upstairs Cabaret for Cryptopsy(ie, not good), but the sound guy did a good job. I was super pumped on their set. All in all, best show I've seen in a long time, sorry to those who missed out. - Sat, 9 Jul 2005 1:25pm
Curmudgeon Rocker User Info... | Those super-super high vocals the IE singer hit were mind-boggling. (As in - they boggled my mind.) His dominant, wind-swept posing was really cool too. Holy crap Krisiun and HE fuckin' rocked. Jeez. - Sat, 9 Jul 2005 2:44pm
the hesher User Info... | krisiun>hateeternal> Dougs imitation of i.e.'s vocals> I.E. - Sat, 9 Jul 2005 3:43pm
Mutilashawn User Info... | highlights of my night - Krisiun, Derek Roddy, the size of Eric Rutan, being the only person doing the "clutching grapefruit" claws, seeing members of Blasphemy, Jungle Rot fucking off and not playing the show, and the all the rocking out done by Victorian people. - Sun, 10 Jul 2005 7:31pm
Sati User Info... | HEY I was rocking out as hard as any victorians! and COME ON, everyone in town immitates his high screams - before every OC show you'd hear those coming out of car windows for blocks before you ever hit the venue! Now I'm gonna run around outside with my arms held high in the air and a big stoned smile on my face, a la hesher. - Sun, 10 Jul 2005 8:20pm
ML7Mike User Info... | Every time I see Stuie its like Hellooooooo Stuuuuuiieieieieieieeeeee.. They were pretty good here in Victoria in April, just before some solid touring, Im sure Stu has really found his direction in that band now. Here's a review of the show, with pics. http://www.metaleater.com/livereviews-hateeternal07072005.php - Mon, 11 Jul 2005 6:42am
