| Little Red User Info... | TONIGHT!!!! ***************************************** Here's a little more info on the artists: NICOLA LINDE is the latest up-and-coming singer/songwriter from Victoria. She will captivate the audience with her powerful voice and forthright lyrics. NICOLA LINDE blurs the line of typical stereotypes. As a self-taught musician, Nicola picked up guitar at the age of fifteen to pursue her love of writing songs that are confessional, emotional and unapologetic. She gained experience performing live from playing bass in bands such as lateforbingo and Honeygirl. NICOLA LINDE hit the stage solo in March 2004, debuting her own material to an enthusiastic audience and has continued to perform live throughout Vancouver Island. NICOLA LINDE’s influences include an eclectic mixture of Alanis Morissette, Holly McNarland, Green Day, Ani DiFranco, and Chantal Kreviazuk, to name a few. Whether it is a full band rock show, or an intimate solo acoustic show, a NICOLA LINDE performance is one not to miss. MICHAEL TENSION is the founder and lead singer of what was once the legendary local act Jeffery Sez. Through a span of 10 years, Jeffery Sez recorded 3 official albums, received massive radio play, shared stages with many famous Canadian acts, received nominations for numerous local awards and played shows all over the country. If you have lived in Victoria for any amount of time and haven’t heard of them, you’ve been living under a rock… Although the band broke up in January 2005, lead singer MICHAEL TENSION is continuing playing music and is currently pursing a solo career. His writing style has been described as “ranging from moody and soulful to driving and intense”. MICHAEL TENSION’s performance at the SPIRAL CAFÉ on MAY 6th is guaranteed not to disappoint. NICOLA LINDE and MICHAEL TENSION will team up for an entertaining night of unplugged rock ‘n roll at the SPIRAL CAFÉ (418 Craigflower) on FRIDAY MAY 6th. The show runs from 8-10PM.
