| Tambo User Info... | Okay, so it was a pretty fun night, good people, some good bands... The Deadbeats - Classic Rock-ish stuff, I wasn't too into it. I like it when I'm at home relaxing or something, but live I don't like it. The instrumentals were good, especially considering these guys' age, but vocals need work. I went to the store for the majority of the set. Theset - I'd heard alot about these guys but had never seen them. I liked them, didn't think it was anything amazing, but I'd check them out again. Sounded solid. A bit light for my tastes *shrug*. Accident Scene - I really liked these guys, I thought it was wicked, the occasional scream was nice. I'd definately check them out again, it was quite a tight set. Kincaide - Wicked... Simply awesome. I have huge bruises on my knees from standing beside the stage... It was pretty rough when you were up there, but worth it to sing along to We Can't Run and Semiramus, my two favorites. I really hope these guys do well on their tour, they're awesome, and I already can't wait for them to get back. Crowned King - Could have cared less. It wasn't worth getting up for, so I sat on the hill outside the show and talked with friends. All in all, a good show. Kudos to all the bands who played. - Sun, 1 May 2005 12:18pm | ||
| Nat User Info... | I missed the deadbeats. Theset is....sexy. Accident scene...wasn't there Kincaide...the reason i went. These guys kick ass. I never get sick of seeing them. And yeah, being pushed into the stage during their set results in bruises the size of baseballs up and down my legs, but it's always worth it. Crowned King...i was really really suprised. I really dont like ska but these guys were killer. The guy played his trumpet like it was a bass guitar and you could tell they were really passionate about their music. I would see them again...but definitely think their much more punk then ska. All in all, i had a really good time. great turnout. Although it pisses me off when jackasses go to shows just so they can fight. Yes we know, your an angsty teenager and you hate your life but thats no reason to pick fights with people who are there for the music. Get a life. - Sun, 1 May 2005 1:43pm | ||

Theset- these guys are neat. accident scene- I really liked this set, not usally my type of music but they had me going. Kincaide- never get old, they still rock. crown king- shaun spat on my forhead, it was amazing. | Joni User Info... | Firstly, thanks so much to Scott and everyone else who put the show on. After living in an Unnamed Eastern City for the past eight months which has a rather weak all-ages scene, I've really got to give credit to Bosevus (and all the other promoters in town) for being as awesome as they are. I missed most of the Deadbeats, but they seemed to have it together for such a young band. Both theset and Accident Scene were enjoyable, though AS was perhaps a little more poppy than I had expected. It would be interesting to hear them add a bit of a harder edge to some of their songs. Kincaide left me awestruck; I was thoroughly impressed. Since I hadn't seen them since last summer (correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm fairly sure they keyboards weren't included then), I had expected improvement, but they floored me. Nicely done guys, and all the best for the tour! As for Crowned King, they're obviously a coherent and well-rehearsed band, but I'll just say that I liked them a lot better when they had more horns in the band.
