| rickylong User Info... | Welllll. Too bad we never got to see Hong Kong Blonde...... AWT played a good set, Neo Nasties where fun too. Then the end came. I hope the owner of Logans leg is O.K. Too bad to see this happen. I think if we should have all worked together and delt with the out of controll guy ourselves.... simply escort him outside.... Or carry him outside. Come on.... some strong men where in the audience. (and i ain't talkin smell) But adrenelin was high and it looked like one huge dogpile. And out of control... Too bad. Then we got to see the to serv and protect guys come in and electricute the guy. I hope the guy has a better day tommorrow. Maybe this could have been avoided... maybe not. I really hope john is o.k. out of everything that went down tonight I think I got punched in the face about a dozen times trying to make sure he didnt die and I just hope his leg is o.k. the thing I was looking the most forward to tonight was seeing hong kong blonde and of course the shit hit the fan as the neo nasties were just finishing and so I didnt get to see them...... One fucking guy, thats all it took... one guy that went nuts and didnt give a shit what happened to himself as long as he hurt other people.. well that is the exact mentality that will always win cause all the other sane people will hold back a little cause they generally have something to live for...... This guy had six people on him and he was so nuts he was still winning. I dunno, it was a good start and a horrific ending........... | Pooetry User Info... | I was outside getting lung cancer when the actual incident happened, but saw the craziness that insued after. Fucked up, yet sickly entertaining. I bet the jerk that started it all woke up in the holding cell hung to the max and wondering what the hell happened. If he's reading this: You suck! Like everyone else, I hope John's leg's okay or at least heals fast, but knees usually don't. I wonder how long he had to wait in the ER. Eek! | Chris Logan User Info... | First of all, sorry to everyone who wanted to see Hong Kong Blonde. They were understandably pissed at not being able to play, but they're stoked on Victoria and we'll try to book them again ( without the Neo-Nasties) ASAP. The word on John's flipper is torn & stretched ligaments. He's got a full brace on and can't wipe his own ass (not that that's anything new), but except for excruciating pain he should be okay. He's got another doctor's appointment today. The worst potential fallout from this shitstorm is that, due to the police report to the Liquor Board (they have to make one every time they come to the bar), we're facing a 10-15 day suspension and a $7500-$10000 fine. I'd really appreciate it if anyone who was present and halfway sober that night could please contact me ([email protected]) so we can gather witness reports. The basic problem is that the Liquor Board is under the impression we had a general, out-of-control riot, when what really happened was that one incredibly fucked-up guy was being escorted out by a whole pile of concerned patrons. | jay brown User Info... | O.K. I am going to take the other side for just a sec here just for the hell of it. I was standing about a foot away when the first guy got punched in the face and tazered. The cops came into the bar and tried to take the one guy that was losing it down. There was like four cops in the room at the time, and maybe a hundred customers. So when they got the guy down two guys jumped in to pull the cops off. The guy that got smacked was right in there trying to push the cops out of the way. So think about it from the cops point of view, all of a sudden they are outnumbered 25 to 1 and the bad guys are already drunk and throwing punches. I gotta tell ya if it was me I would start throwing punches to save my life too. Now from the patrons side of view, since I was standing a foot away...... the cop that started hitting people...... he hit the first guy, the tall one with the mohawk, and tazered him at the same time, and he didnt hold back at all it was a full on haymaker in the face. it was the next guy that he hit that I thought was odd......He didnt even look to see if the person standing beside him was doing anything wrong, I am guessing the guy was just too close. So he turned real fast and just dropped him... the guy wasnt doing anything, I know i was sober and watching him specifically. He floored him, and didnt even bother looking to see what he had done, just dropped him and went on to the next guy. Now as I said I understand the idea of fighting for your life.... but they are supposed to be here to serve and protect, hell they even have a t.v. show saying exactly that. Well they came in and started a riot, and now they are trying to say that there was one in progress when they got there. When they got there one guy was losing his mind and we were trying to get him out of the room. If they had of taken one minute to assess the situation this would have all ended drastically differently. Yup from either side it makes sense I was just lucky enough to be sober and able to see exactly what happened, and ya Chris I will stand up in court or whatever and say it, and I can dress up real nice and say all the pretty three syllable words I have to........... - Fri, 6 May 2005 10:28pm | ||
