Dane User Info... | Chris really likes playing as much has he can which is why he requested the show. Although he comes through frequently he always has fresh material and he can take a variety of requests. But what I'm really excited about is the fact that he will be backed up by a band with bass, keyboard, and drums - (maybe another surprise musician too). That will give the songs he has sang solo in the past a more full sound (although I still like his solo program). And I also agree that with Kia and One Drop opening, adds a fresh dimension to the show too. It's cool to see Kia in different musical contexts. It just shows how many different styles of music she can blend with and still sound awesome. - Sat, 28 Sep 2002 2:54pm
Gare User Info... | I just caught this show the other day here in Calgary (first show of the tour I believe). It was just the Chris Murray Combo. I've seen Chris play several times and this is without a doubt the best he has ever sounded. They played a couple sets including all the old favorites plus a whole bunch of new ones he has been writing. The back up band sounded incredable (with ex bombasts how can ya go wrong). Anyways the show was better the slackers show last week (yes I know thats hard to believe). Yes definitally check this show out when they come to Vic - Sat, 5 Oct 2002 2:22pm
