I saw the show and as the saying goes "it was money." All three bands were fine. 7 year old poets even threw their instruments around...well at least one of them anyway. These guys got riddim. They play well together and should stay together too. I really liked the vocals and how the two guitar players traded off and blended. The drummer was standout. Steady Helmish (Leon that is) I would say. Sweetheart certainly showed they have what it takes to get signed in this day and age of flash in the pan soundbites and sampled everything. They were tight and the audience too grooved. Black Tie Social opened the show. The bass rumbled the floor and I had to take my camera off the sticks to stop the shake. Their "stand in" keyboard player Matt Davidson was simply "there"....in the pocket and added that dimension needed to propel the Tie Social onward. Jason: Simply on. Katie too. Aidan and Chris were again batman and robin. Vocals were pretty tight considering the stage monitors were never really present to them. Different harmonies than usual and they sounded more full. All in all a great show. Thanks to Brendan and Liam for putting on the show. - Sat, 9 Apr 2005 6:26pm

That was a good show fer sure. Thanks Don for the video stills! Sorry to that guy taking pictures I flipped off - I always do that to the camera; it's my one stoopid rawk picture move. That combined with being too drunk made it look really bad! Anyway, thanks to everyone who made it happen. And if you want to know a great bar to play, we were @ Pat's pub the next night. East Hastings baby! Doesn't get better (scarrier) than that! - Sun, 17 Apr 2005 5:24pm
