Great Show. All the bands were tight. The sound was surprisingly good for that venue, so I think everyone was pleased(relieved might be a better word) about that. Hopefully we can bring Skarp back in the near future.

Thanks again to Brian for lending us his PA. We were able to pay skarp an extra 70 bux. It doesn't sound like much but for a touring group its a lot.

Thanks to everyone for helping out with cash, postering, set up, clean up etc. etc. Helping eachother along the way makes things easier.

Our next show will be Sanctum in May. They're another group from Seattle who play epic grinding crust in the style of Bolthrower and Axegrinder via the Amebix.

That show will be a benefit for an anarchist info shop that will be opening in the near future. As it stands we need to raise a few months rent and gather stock. The idea is to bring anarchist alternatives to the fore of day-to-day living through counter cultural media. This includes books, music, clothing, periodicals, magazines etc. The sooner we gather enough money the sooner we can open, so anyone interested in helping or has ideas for money raising feel free to contact us.

It was a great show indeed. Throne of Ashes did a great set, for some reason it was alot better than their show last week.

Bury Whats Dead's newer songs are crushing, the same goes with Iskra. Totally catchy.

Didn't see all of Skarp so can't comment!

The place was set up nicely and the sound was better than I thought it would be. Looking forward to more shows like this in the future! - Sun, 3 Apr 2005 4:53pm

the show ruled.

Throne Of Ashes played a short set because they said they werent too ontop of the game. I was enjoying it though.

BuryWhatsDeads new line-up is stellar, I really enjoyed hearing Shawns barks once again.

Iskra of course, are always solid...but i was sad because of the lack of a certain person in the band. Either way they throughedDOWN OMG.

Skarp were something different but so totally worth my money and time. I was really impressed by their drummer and they had some seriously wicked riffs. I will be seeing these Seattlers again in the future! - Sun, 3 Apr 2005 5:26pm

What is an "anarchist info shop?" Sounds counter-productive, not counter culture.

By selling counter-culture books in exchange for money, you are in fact contributing to the culture that you claim to counter and thus the cycle continues.

But way to go on the whole entrepeneurial thing, Victoria needs more indie business'. I'm just being a brat, and would like to know more about your shop will sell as I like to read my counter-culture books. - Sun, 3 Apr 2005 5:56pm

Being on stage at the time Throne of Ashes was playing was disappointing. We definitely felt this wasn't our strongest performance, thanks to all the kind comments to the contrary!

I'd like to say thanks to one of the other guitarists (don't know his name) who offered up his axe when I broke the 2nd string of the night ON THE FUCKING BACKUP GUITAR!!! That was totally cool and much appreciated but I couldn't butcher the tuning that bad for you. It was a simple demonstration of the kind of great musicians and people in general in the Victoria music scene. Makes having a bad night seem better. - Sun, 3 Apr 2005 10:39pm

Great show all around. The lights and wall dividers seemed to work really well for that space. Skarp's op ivy cover was briliant. It sucks nightmare decided to play with DOA instead of here. This info shop sounds like something victoria has needed for quite some time. - Mon, 4 Apr 2005 10:31am
