_Griphin_ User Info... | Well this will be my first gig of the new year. Logan's charges $1 per coffee BTW, thumbs up! I missed GFK (I think) but had fun running into people I haven't seen in person in a long time. Self Inflicted rocked (I like the new material), and Gray Army rocked. BTW: Wierd how Gray Army was plagued with feedback, Scott who was doing sound couldn't figure out where it was coming from, I thought it was coming from the mics, apparently I was wrong. BTW: I was gonna stay for GFK but I was way past my bedtime. :( All in all, awesome gig! - Fri, 25 Feb 2005 12:34am
Livevic Scott User Info... | Just so you know Phil, GFK ripped it up. Huge thanks to Self Inflicted + The Grey Army, Logans + Staff, and everyone who came out to the show! Show went great and GFK told me they are sure to come back to BC =). I got some pictures i'll post later, but definatly a great show, GFK played nearly flawlessly, kickboxing and all! I hope to see all of you at my next show, Buried Inside (Relapse Recording artists from Ottawa) w/ Desensitzied + Kincaide!! - Fri, 25 Feb 2005 5:14am
_Griphin_ User Info... | Yeah, I wish I could of stayed for GFK, cept it was getting late and I was getting tired (walking sure was tough at that point). Hopefully I'll be able to see GFK next time they play Victoria. - Fri, 25 Feb 2005 1:34pm
Livevic Scott User Info... | Did anyone else notice the singer from GFK wearing the Despised Icon shirt? =) - Fri, 25 Feb 2005 5:52pm
Mr. Hell User Info... | Missed Grey Army. Sorry guys. Self Inflicted. Lincoln doing his usual precise, killer drum work. S.I. is a great hardcore band! The slower mosh sections are phenomenal. I found myself bobbing my head through their entire set. Seen Self Inflicted before a few times, but I was usually too drunk to catch all the details of the music. Going out on a Thursday allowed me to take in their set. The bass player seemed really excited to be there! G.F.K. Like B.A.R.F. without the B.A.R.F.isms. Killer drummer! Those French-Canadian drummers all have that crazy style about them that is a blast to watch. Very tight and catchy. I could have done without spinning kung-fu kicks and East Coast emo onstage antics, but to each their own. Thanks to Ling Cod from the listing! - Sat, 26 Feb 2005 1:19am

I would have stayed, but I had to pick up something at the B'yard, and I was starting to feel fluish.. so I never made it back. I wanted to see Che too.. I suck. B of A were cool, huh? wicked drummer.. your site looks awesome.. nice banner in the background in that pic, huh????? Come out tonight.. wendy's got metal at the bar, she's having trouble with the owners and can't bartend so there's gonna be more drama. And down the street at pat's WPP's having their cd release.. Sati User Info... | cool, i'll check those pics. No worries about missing us.. I kinda missed meeting up with nev cuz i wasn't feeling so great.. next time. Hey Shawn, i'm listening to your cd! The cool thing about not seeing bands play for a long time is that when you see them again they're THAT much better. Awesome show.. BoA made a few new fans that night, for sure. - Sun, 27 Feb 2005 5:41pm
Spark User Info... | G.F.K. were fucking great. we played our first show with them (amourdecosmos) at some small apartment in langford but missed thier set, I always wondered what they sounded like, and definetly wasn't dissappionted. Self inflicted were awesome, they get better everytime I see them. The bass player had about as much enthusiym as a dead fish, What the hell was that about? Didn't catch the Gray Army as I was dragged to a house party, heard they were good though. - Sun, 27 Feb 2005 7:28pm
Kyle User Info... | Good show all in all - Self Inflicted had a good thing going with the TS cover. - Sun, 27 Feb 2005 10:59pm
Livevic Scott User Info... | Hey Spark, you didn't play your first show with GFK. They're from Quebec City, and that was their first gig ever in BC. =) They did kick ass however =) - Sun, 27 Feb 2005 11:35pm
gino User Info... | don't listen to these fucks sara! the bassplaying is whats important. - Mon, 28 Feb 2005 10:01am
jay brown User Info... | bwahahahah retards, she is a killer bass player, so she doesnt jump around the stage.... how about you try to play even remotely close to as good as her... and she has breasts....wow. - Mon, 28 Feb 2005 10:19am
ROSS B AY User Info... | Nope that's Linkweena. - Mon, 28 Feb 2005 4:37pm
Mr. Hell User Info... | Don't get me wrong, she played really well! And jumping around onstage is a trait that I don't especially enjoy (if you look at my synopsis of GFK's set). I know your comments are to Spark, but I just wanted to be clear on my review. The look of boredom on her face during the entire set is what I was referring to. I can't speak for anyone else, but she did a great job. Her demeanor was comical to me. - Mon, 28 Feb 2005 4:50pm
jay brown User Info... | she always looks bored onstage has forever........ kinda like some of my dates back in the day when I was drinking too much.... I think it's cause y'all scare her so much.... little girlie on stage with all you big meanies in the audience scaring the pants off her.....yup that right I said it...pants off her. I think maybe next show everyone should just bum rush the stage and give her a big group hug.... maybe with the pants off of you.. - Mon, 28 Feb 2005 5:07pm
Spark User Info... | Okay, so clear some things up for me, GFK played first right? As I said Ive never seen GFK or Grey Army before so I dont know who's who but the first band was fronted by a guy who used to go to parklands, Im sure of it, and we played our first gig with them. Second, why are you getting so defensive? She looked like she'd rather be watching MASH re-runs then playing with the band. Whats wrong with a little critisim , I didn't say she sucked, she played everything fine but without a hint of enjoyment from what I could see. - Mon, 28 Feb 2005 5:37pm
Livevic Scott User Info... | First band was The Grey Army Second was Self Inflicted Third was GFK. - Mon, 28 Feb 2005 7:47pm
Ty Stranglehold User Info... | I suppose I should chime in. Trust me when I tell you that Sarah enjoys every second that she is playing music. I've played in two bands with her and can tell you that I've met few people with more love of music than her. And it's true as Jay pointed out, she's always had a bored look on her face on stage. I think it may be that she gets a little nerve racked playing in front of people... I know I would if I wasn't hammered every time we play! The bottom line is that you can't judge someone's level of enjoyment by the look on their face, just listen to the tunes. - Mon, 28 Feb 2005 8:18pm
ROSS B AY User Info... | Hey Spark, what band is it that you're in dude? - Tue, 1 Mar 2005 4:28am
_Griphin_ User Info... | I somehow lost the message I originally wrote, but I just wanted to say that Self Inflicted sound better then the last time I heard them and Sarah was awesome as their new bassist. - Tue, 1 Mar 2005 10:06am
Spark User Info... | Well Griphin, I agree self inflicted did sound fucking good, I will be at the next show for sure. Maybe I was a bit hasty in my critisim of Sarah as it seems everyone whose replied here is in one band or another that I really like and I respect thier opinion. So the question is, whens the next show?? Oh and I play guitar in Amour De Cosmos - Tue, 1 Mar 2005 5:39pm
ROSS B AY User Info... | ahhhh yes....the 'ol open mouth, extract foot routine. - Tue, 1 Mar 2005 6:55pm
