Black Mountain @ Lucky Bar friday 28

Sold Out!
Holy Shit! Black Mountain.

It was a gathering of many old Victorian faces. We came out to support brother Steve's new thang, Black Mountain. The opening bands where all equally unique in sound and the dancefloor was full, but good company (oak bay Knights, John Muir from Sucidal, old Pigments, a Breach and Esqui Chantele... all good to see yous) had made me able not to completely take the first bands in. When Black Mountain took to the stage a heavy wave of intense riff pulled the full Luckybar to sardine room standing on the dancefloor. I had a smile on my face, goosebumps, and my foot stomped as i joined the crowd. This band was heavy and yet the next song would put you in a trance and make you feel you where walking down a busy city street.
The trance would explode into another heavy riff that would make you sway and shake your fist. I recon you could call it stoner or hippie with a twist of heavy holy shit.

Thier live shows and thier CD are two different soldiers, You can hear thier CD but you can FEEL thier Live show. I'm glad i checked this band out and look forward to seeing them again...... Holy shit!
