cooper User Info... | Well? Who went? I couldn't make it, so rub it in and tell me what I missed! - Sat, 22 Jan 2005 2:12pm
Peter Gardner User Info... | I went, but thats because I'm in Suburbia ;) It was a really good show. Black Tie Social especially blew me away. First time hearing them and I was very very impressed. Jacobs Fall rocked, and Morning Call were pretty good, but a little on the Cliche Rock/Emo/Punk side. - Sat, 22 Jan 2005 2:17pm
Eight Bit Dream User Info... | I went stayed for maybe 10 minutes left and went to other show so i cant say much. - Sat, 22 Jan 2005 3:11pm
picklehammer User Info... | I heard this show wasn't too great I was at the other show at fernwood though I would have gone for Black Tie Social but I really don't like Jacob's fall and didn't have too much desire to see the others - Sat, 22 Jan 2005 11:24pm
Beardo The Wonder Boy User Info... | The show actually went really good, the place was almost packed, espescially for Morningcall's set and the crowd seemed pretty enthusiastic. Suburbia had some cool originals I espescially liked october stars I think that song has potential, and they've really improved from the last time I saw them. Plus they have awesome T-shirts Black tie social was alright, they took a really long time to set up, but that probably wouldn't have been the case had we had a bit better sound equipment and more mics for them. Jacob's fall I think played good, one of our better shows. More mobile and emotional than usual, we've been working on improving our stage presence, hopefully it's payed off. Morningcall were really good, upbeat, well composed, catchy but not "Britney" catchy, I think I'm going to have a few of their songs stuck in my head for quite some time. which is weird because their not really my usual style at all. I can see why they got signed. All in all a good show - Sat, 22 Jan 2005 11:45pm

kaitie sly User Info... | i thought the show was great! a pretty good crowd considering there was another show going on that night and all the bands played well. suburbia - first time hearing them. i was told they'd only been together for a short time, so they must of really worked hard to get that set together! a lot of the songs i really liked, recognised some covers. although, i wasn't listening too intently because i was getting ready to play next. black tie social - my band. sorry for taking a bit to set up, was havin some technical probs. we could have played better and its too bad chris's strat wasn't used but i think we had fun and i think the crowd enjoyed us too. thanks all! jacobs fall - again, didn't get to hear as much of them because i was loading gear, etc. but i've heard them before and they always seem to put on a rockin show. good energy, especially from the drummer....as always. morning call - ah yes. formerly known as undergo? minus the front man. like other's have posted, catchy catchy tunes and quite the change from undergo's genre. they've got potential to do great tho, i mean, the core band has been playing together for a while now, they've been signed by drive-thru record and their songs are definetly catchy and popular! - Sun, 23 Jan 2005 12:20pm
HARi User Info... | Theres something to be said for front man's that tuck in their shirt. I only saw J.F. . . What else is new. - Sun, 23 Jan 2005 12:37pm

Peter Gardner User Info... | Thanks for the kind words Kaitie :) - Sun, 23 Jan 2005 8:26pm
darcy User Info... | very energetic crowd, despite the numbers (it seemed to be more packed at the end). suburbia - while i think they have laid down the groundwork for what can be an really cool band, i feel that the songs lacked some depth (yeahyeah, i play in a ska band. sue me.) but the songs were catchy and easy to listen to. i really liked the matthew good cover. hope to see this band again. black tie social - they seemed to be a lot more proficient (spelling?) this time. they kicked ass the last time i saw them. this time the freakin' slayed. i bought the demo, but was hoping for some more songs on it. still a good deal none the less. jacob's fall - while the band itself is amazing, i just don't really click with the vocal side of things. not to say they are bad, i just don't really dig them. i also think there should be some super fast power-picking/shredding solo or something ;) morning call - catchy tunes, and it's obvious why they got signed to drive-thru. while not what i usually listen to. i did enjoy seeing them play live. - Sun, 23 Jan 2005 9:15pm
VideoMaker User Info... | Only got to see the video of Black Tie Social. It's only the second show of theirs I have ever missed. They are definitely improving and still taking lots of risks. The sound was terrible. Both times they have played at the Garry Oak the sound has been lousy. No vocals in the monitor mixes. The band really ramped up the moves and brought a new maturity to the tween songs banter. They have been together 15 months now and their tunes really show it. They are thinking about doing another show at the Polish White Eagle Hall in the Spring. There is also talk of a Tour in the next 2 months. Don't miss this band they are really good!! - Sun, 23 Jan 2005 10:16pm
[+} User Info... | guys, we are super sorry about not putting more tunes on the CD. but to all of those who bought a CD at the show: thank you. thank you. we sold out of CD's, but will make some more. and if you would like more black tie tunes.. email [email protected] and i'll email you three other tracks if you would like them, just put the title on the top of the CD you bought @ the show! suburbia; i was expecting something different from this three piece alt rock act. but they delivered a different sound. a good sounding band that with some more stage time will have a great sounding set. i'm sure. black tie; thank you for coming out to cheer, clap, dance, whatever. it was great and i'm super sorry that it took so long to set up. maybe we will meet again with some more sound in the monitors! jacobs fall; the drumming is more solid, glenns guitar tone is way more off the hizzle than before. and alain is a funky boy no the bassguitar. i didn't get to hear much, but some people stuck around to hear it. again, the sound made it hard to hear such a loud band. morning call; i saw the first two tunes and heard the quick, catchy pop songwriting. it's much different from undergo. a lot more thought into the production. but i missed the larger presence. - Mon, 24 Jan 2005 2:05pm
Peter Gardner User Info... | Thanks for the kind words Adian. It took me FOREVER to figure out where I had seen you before, and then it hit me, Long and Mcquade. I'd just like to take the time and whore my band...if you guys ever need an band to fill a spot at a show, we'd LOVE to play for you guys. All of my band (even Ken the bassist, who's super picky about the music he likes) really dug you guys, and we'd love to play with you again. :) - Mon, 24 Jan 2005 7:41pm
[+} User Info... | so glad to hear that you guys dug what we did, peter. i remember seeing you in L&M a while back as well; we'd love to do some stuff with you guys soon. we don't have any shows lined up any time soon, but if we hear of a spot we'll try to put in the good word. and to anyone else interested in CD's we'll try to whip up another batch for our next show. tell your friends they'll be there! check out http://blacktiesocial.blogspot.com for updates on video and audio from us. an rambling. lots and lots of it. - Tue, 25 Jan 2005 9:43pm
