| darcy User Info... | wow! what a fantastic show. I really had a great time. Fillmores: They played a very solid, and short, set. The only thing that they could have done better (aside from using their own equipment and drummer) was cut down the solo on the last song. Maybe just stick with the slide and leave it at that. All in all, probably on of the better first show for a band I have seen. Vincat: Easily the best Vincat set I have ever heard. They played some new stuff, and some (very) old stuff ( MF'N APPLESAUCE). A super fantastic time. I'm not sure, but it looked like Kris forgot some words in2 of the songs (but you probably wouldn't notice if you didn't know the words). Shapes and Sizes: My first time seeing them. I liked them a lot. very up beat and catchy, but not without the musical talent. though I was told they had something with an ukalele Run Chico Run: First time seeing them aswell. I was a bit tired around this time so I found it to drag on a bit, again it was probably because I was tired. | Kris User Info... | A few short things to say. I'm currently in vancouver waiting for the plane on my way to scotland. Vin Cat will be back in a few months, hopefully with a recording by the summer or by the end of the summer. We are looking to put out an ep or album by then and we'll be back sooner than you can say skippidydooda. As for last night: That was the most amazing crowd response ever. You guys singing and dancing along gave me the biggest musical high ever, and it will last me till i get home i'm sure. Thank you so much. Run Chico Run and Shapes and Sizes. I'm sorry we played a little overtime and I hope it didnt effect your set. I love run chico run and they are tied with IM for my favorite band out of victoria. I am sure you played great but because of my travels I decided to get home and in bed before I could see either of you. I will make a point to come see shapes and sizes when I come home, and we'd love to play with you sometime. Props to the fillmores for pulling off a set despite all those setbacks. I'll miss you all and I'll see you in a few months, thanks for an amazing last night in town. and Vin Cat will be back soon with a disk and more of those ugly tshirts. | rusted hub cap User Info... | i agree with kris. the audience was the most AMAZING audience ever. it was definitly a natural high, the mutant dance, dance off was so cool! the energy was incredible through out the whole show, i really can't get over it. it was one of the best feelings ever. i am proud of my little brother nick for playing such a good show. especially do to their ASSHOLE drummer not showing up for their FIRST show. that makes me ANGRY. (the fillmores) i really enjoyed shapes and sizes, great songs. um, i don't realy have too much to say about them other then they were great. i did not get to see run chico run, i had to leave. and um, could marry, and that guy wearing the pink shirt send me the photos you took of vin cat, and anyone else that took photos, thanks. | dannysglasses User Info... | that was amazing. like my other two bandmates said: great crowd... best i've ever played for. fillmores were nice guys as they were teaching me their songs 5 minutes before the show. shapes and sizes. awesome. run chico run. didnt see them . i had to get my cold, tired drum set home. anyway. post any pictures you've got cause we'd love to see them. crystal is going to post the latest recording on vincats myspace, and then eventually our website. thanks to everyone that came out - Sat, 8 Jan 2005 7:18pm | ||

| [+} User Info... | shapes and sizes sounded even better than last time. still love the energy around that band, really fun and great songwriting. the harmonies help as well! saw vin cat as well. they got the kids shaking, and obviously have a following. i can't say i was shocked when some of the vin kids left right after their set, but it was nice to have a little more room. it be tiny in thur. - Sun, 9 Jan 2005 12:27pm | ||

| k8 User Info... |  The Fillmores - They were really cool, I would imagine they would be even better with their own drummer. Keys would also be a nice addition. That solo with the slide was cool, vocals were great, and the songs were catchy. I'd go see them again. Vin Cat - Best set I've seen them play yet. They were so energetic & got to play nice and long. My Girlfriend Only Wants To Play Video Games & Never Wants To Makeout With Me is a rad song. & thanks for playing Somebody Stole My Applesauce, that totally made the night. Shapes & Sizes - Despite the lack of ukulele this time around, they were awesome. Amazing vocals, strong musicianship, & very creative songs. They kind of reminded me of Cursive minus cello. The last song they played was really cool. I wish they would play all agers more often. Run Chico Run - Wow, talk about multi-tasking. First time I've seen someone drum & play keys at the same time. I really liked them, picked up their CD, I'd definitely go see them again, too. Funny how it was an entirely different crowd by the time they took the stage.
