| Mutilashawn User Info... | Unfortunately (maybe I'm not sure), I wasn't able to stick around for the entirety of the show. However, what I did catch was great. Actually I'm glad I took off when I did. I was beginning to feel like a sardine as the place was ridiculously full of people. A Stellar Collapse - Mind bending riffs and time signatures that made me question my mental capacity. Such an original sound, never have I heard anything like this. Nik Olaz made a good comparison, a mixture of Opeth and current Neurosis, but a thousand times more technical. Plus the vocals were so bizzare and haunting at times, the weird off-kilter singing/talking really threw me for a loop (in a good way) and not to mention some great death growls for good measure. I can't wait to see these guys again. Enchanted Faeries - Of course the Faeries slayed, OF COURSE. Continuously brutal and continuously entertaining. I heard mention of the "best band on the island," I'd have to agree. These guys honestly get better every time I see them. Memorable songs that all stand out on their own. Highlights were "Squirrel Hunter" and of course "Kill for Satan" and "Storming the Castle". Again I ask the question, How are these guys NOT signed? | Skull User Info... | I missed most of the night. All I got to see was A Stellar Collapse and they kicked ass!!! Killer guitar, I can't beleive the complexity and melodic discordancy of it. Of course as a death metal fanatic I prefer vocals all growled but these guys are good none the less. Enchanted Fairies always put on a good show (on stage or off). The guys from SICK are all good friends of mine and I have watched the band progress over years so enough said about them, you all know I think they tear their basement up every show they put on. Which leaves Smoked Out Brains. Well let me tell you about the first I saw them. It was back on the Millennium party, I was broke, no booze, no weed. But I went out to party anyway and watch the bands play. Well SOB lit up this huge fucking doobie and passed it around, I mean the thing was over a foot long. Between that and all other joints being passed around I got good and stoned. Then one of the guys from SOB gave me a 1.5 litre bottle of home brew beer, 9% or so, the real good shit. Then we played musical musicians for a couple hours, everyone just jamming out. By the time I walked home it was much more than staggering, more like leaning forward and trying to keep the ground away from me with my feet. It worked, I made it home. So thats the kinda band Smoked Out Brainz is. So thanks to all the fucking metal heads that always make shows fun. Fuck the rest, they'll get theirs. - Sat, 1 Jan 2005 5:34pm | ||

As I said to MR.SICKFUK there - it was the best New Years I had had in a long time. Tunes were rippin. And every band couldn't have played better. Saw alot of people there I had not seen in a while, and met some new crazies to hang with in the future. {Didn't have the pleasure of meeting Natalie though, although I started to get really loaded and walked around asking "are you Natalie?, is your name Natalie?"} Nah, I just wanted to take out my livevic anger on someone and she wouldn't have deserved that. Fun and good times had by all! I have numerous pix taken, and hope to have them developed in the next few. I will post when done. Thank you again Tolmie Hell House Hosts, and everyone else who made the night Kick Serious Ass! Made us laugh, as I had never attended a Tolmie gig before, I was pleading with my friends {visiting from out of town} to be cool if the party sucked and that I didn't know what to expect - to walk around back - and voila! Sorry about some ass doing damage that night at the house , but every big party I’ve had here doesn’t go off with out some kind of damage usually . That's cool that playing the show was the last thing we did for 2004 & the first thing we did in 2005. Fucker who kicked a hole in the front door was very lucky we didn't catch is ass. $50 to whom ever brings us his decapitated head (creative interpretations welcome(although his toilet wouldn't be so cool...)). Maybe he was choked because he was one of the lucky ones to pick up the stray beer/piss bottles complements of some chicks full bladder.
