Damn what a wicked show!! Best sound i've heard in that venue too especially at the loud volume it was at

Acidwash - PROS- Have some neat Alt rock songs and some cool bluesy solos. Super nice kids too from what i hear. CONS- Didnt seem to amp or work the crowd much, but that should come with some practice and experience.

Cipher - PROS- Catchy tunes, good energy and at times some really great vocals. CONS- Their sound was a bit thin(likely from the missing guitarist) and seemed to be a little off beat here and there (but likely from playing in the most reverb heavy hall around).

Kickback - PROS- TURNED THE HOUSE LIGHTS OFF!! That right there had the crowd amped. Their shadows on the back wall from the stage lights were super sweet! Great intensity, really had the crowd amped up, amazing songs, super good overall sound as a band. CONS- Too short of a set, get a strap lock, stop getting the crowd wet when you're headbangin with soaked hair(ok maybe that's just my peeve)

Another Day Lived - PROS- Kept the house lights off, Great heavy sound, amazing songs, worked the crowd well, good stage presence. CONS- played what seemed to be a really short set. - Sun, 5 Dec 2004 9:57pm

It was good to rock out with Acidwash, Cipher and Another Day Lived again. Crowd was awesome, especially all the people who were right up front.

SHAMELESS PLUG ALERT!! If you got an ID come to Lucky on the 21st and rock out to Kickback, Another Day Lived, and New Age Weapon - Sun, 5 Dec 2004 10:44pm

Colin from acidwash here,,
yah all in all a tight show. The sound is brutal in that hall though, bouncing and the treble just shreds. I found if you go outside and litsen, it sounds pretty good.
my thoughts:

cipher: PROS: kicked ass, good presence and tight songs, some reminded me of live nirvana which is cool and good vocals
CONS: guitar tuning,, but you noticed it and got right on it. vocal consistency(not that i should talk) 3/4 It sounded wicked but a couple times it fell off.

KICKBACK: PROS: these guys kick so much ass live, their songs are cool and the lead guitar is prime. Seemed to really boost the croud energy up.
cons: i dunno, probly something

Another day lived: First time I have seen these guys, they sounded very proffesional . Good hard hitting guitars, not much lead from what I heard though. but a tight set.
cons: some diversity in songs? ,... i dunno

THANKS TO CIPHER AND KICKBACK FOR THE ORGANIZATION OF THE SHOW - Mon, 6 Dec 2004 10:33am

Hey all,

Thanks to all the bands for comming out, and the crowd for bearing with the wierd accoustics.

We've been looking for some honest feedback, so if anyone else wants to let us know how we did, we'd appreciate it.

Acidwash: You guys get better each time I hear you. PROS: Technical skills were wicked (solo behind the head was a nice touch), and the stage presence was a million times better. CONS: You still need a bassist (yah, I know you know), and you still need a bit more work on the stage presence... it just needs to be a little more natural. That is, you seemed a bit forced sometimes, but mostly looked really good.

Kickback: Thanks for doing the sound for us, it was great, espically considering the accoustics of fcc. PROS: you guys are just fuckin amazing: sound, skill, presence... all wicked. CONS: still think you need to make a bit more eye contact with eachother, tho the bassist (sry I can't remember your name) did a good job. Great job, all around!

ADL: Sounds, crowd interaction, technics, presence... all awesome! A really really wicked, solid show. The weird accoustics didn't really seem to effect you guys. Got the crowd really pumped, too! Good shit. Can't think of any Cons.

And, yah, it is a SEVENTEEN tack CD; we're selling them for ten bucks a CD... We recorded it with Scott Henderson at Sea Of Shit (SOS) studios in Langford. We're gonna be posting samples on our webpage later this week:

Thanks again to everyone who came out!

I dunno, I just called it a CD... Call it a turkey, doesn't change the fact that's it's 10 bucks and goes in your CD player.
