Livevic Scott User Info... | start... how the fuck was Darkest Hour??? - Sat, 4 Dec 2004 1:21am
jlee User Info... | It was a good show. Seemed like a small turnout though. Soulscar - I wasn't really interested so I didn't pay too much attention. Fear Before the yada yada - Alright I guess. Not good enough to bring me downstairs. BTBAM - Yeah, dude! They were absent from the Converge show in Seattle so I was anxious to finally see them. They were tighter than a knot. My favorite of the night, but I'm biased because I like them the best of the lineup. Darkest Hour - Also, good. Lots of rocking out. The singer had a rad shirt. I don't think this venue suited them though. - Sat, 4 Dec 2004 12:52pm
KK Downingsyndrome User Info... | I expected much more from this. Missed Soulscar completely (thanks, Ruddy's sex drive) Fear... didn't do a thing for me except wish I hadn't missed DEP last time around. BTBAM fell short for me. I had heard their albums and was really looing forward to them. In all fairness though, it was more the crowd than anything. Nothing turns me off more than a crowd checking each other out more than the bands onstage. Due to said crowd, I left midway through BTBAM's set and completely missed Darkest Hour (the whole reason for my going). Today's Hardcore=Grind w/ Moptops and white belts. - Sat, 4 Dec 2004 2:31pm

Sati User Info... | How did you know about the show and not know about DH being on it? I thought the only changes were Cattle Decap, and then Hell Promise.. before final lineup.. or am I confused. - Sun, 5 Dec 2004 2:06am
your master User Info... | darkest hour was pretty good, but the sound guy was a putz, could hear the singer at all - Sun, 5 Dec 2004 11:36am
josh nails User Info... | "Today's Hardcore=Grind w/ Moptops and white belts" Nothing could be further from the truth there are still many many hardcore bands around rocking fades and camo shorts playing music that resembles punk moreso than metal. - Sun, 5 Dec 2004 9:16pm
BibleBasher User Info... | could hear the singer at all - Sun, 5 Dec 2004 11:47pm
KK Downingsyndrome User Info... | Josh, I know. I was just being an ass. What you say is true, but you'd never have known it judging from the crowd or bands playing @ the DH show. - Mon, 6 Dec 2004 1:12pm

Legion User Info... | Hardcore is in my opinion the new 'nu metal'. You might as well accept it because I am always right. Love, David - Wed, 8 Dec 2004 2:23pm
Sati User Info... | Hey Master (nice one), Nev's working on that kinda stuff.. one day soon multiple images will happen. Dod, I'm pretty sure DH were on the bill at least from the point that Soulscar were added on.. moral of the story.. NEVER plan your nights out while drunk!! Before this show drops off the page, I wanted to rave about Soulscar! I totally missed the boat on them. I saw them once or twice last fall, and then part of a set in May where I caught a glimpse of what people were starting to get excited about. Seeing them at this show though, made me proud that local bands can be that good! They look young, but despite that seem totally confident, skilled, and pro.. melodic.. really technical, tight. Killer drummer - poised to become a powerhouse, so I'm excited to see him play as time goes on. I thought several times about how people would be in their right minds to grab set lists and other momentos of that show cuz Soulscar at least deserve the chance to play huge rooms for a long time, starting soon. They're signed to Galy Records out of Quebec and there's audio files on here or at http://www.soulscar.com. Definately worth taking a listen - DO IT! The other band which had me stoked was Between the Buried.. But the spinning assholes who cleared the pit made me wanna kill AND drove me to the sidestage where I couldn't hear as well. Anyway, great guitaring & frontman, great overall. But after starting with a whole lot of driving power that just seemed to build and build, they broke into some long, mellow, quiet melodic thing early on which didn't seem to fit at all. The rest was ok, but it seemed to lose energy.. I think it was just cuz the momentum was interrupted or something. Didn't like Fear much and DH actually got a short lived circle mosh happening, under careful direction. Vancouver crowds are embarassingly lame that way so good for them. - Fri, 10 Dec 2004 1:57pm

SentencedtoBurn User Info... | Please everyone...refrain from deflating David's ego. He can be delicate at times. However, in this case, hardcore is the lesser of 2 evils. Accept that. - Wed, 22 Dec 2004 2:10pm
