Matt D. | Although the attendance wasn't exactly what you could call grandiose, there was a fair chunk of ppl who bothered to come to the show @ the Teahouse tonight. It's definitely a homey lil' venue, the sound isn't too bad (better than pandora). I was upstairs for Shortfall's set but could still hear them rippin shit up. Hardcore isn't my usual choice in music but I thought both TAN and Dissent were excellent. Tough As Nails played the best I've heard as of yet, they were really wicked. I liked that cover song of Earth Crisis (as I've been informed by Josh) even though I haven't heard the original. That was the first time I've seen Dissent and they were amazing. There was so much energy being thrown out and tossed around, and the drummer really pounded on his kit. I was upstairs for Lythic Blue, but I could hear alot of intricacey in what they played. It wasn't my taste in music but there were certain aspects that I enjoyed, there were a couple of songs where I really liked the symbol-work as well as some harmonies and rythms. Overall, the tea house didn't smell like a dog's piss... it smelt like christmas. There was a bleeding head, but no one got punched as far as I know. That's right. Believe it. - Sun, 15 Dec 2002 5:53am
Wreaker of Havoc User Info... | I had promised to see a freinds band up the street but the irresistable pull toward the Teahouse was almost too hard to take as I slowly drove past. I caught Galuza and Noel contemplating taking down a poster I had put up earlier in the day. Hooligans I tell you. Had Tough as Nails not already played I would have not been able to resist coming in. Tough as Nails are easily my favourite local noisemakers!!!!! Sorry I missed them! - Sun, 15 Dec 2002 12:44pm
Jay Watts User Info... | EARTH CRISIS = WEAK! EVEN I KNEW THAT WHEN I PLAYED SXE HARDCORE. - Mon, 16 Dec 2002 6:26pm
*GKdc | Earth Crisis is/was weak, but there is no way in hell you could even pretend to tell me that the Firestorm EP is in any way a non-essential piece of HardCore history. That damn record changed lives, regardless of how chumpy the band itself turned out to be. Besides, its all in fun. And isn't that what its all about anyways? - Mon, 16 Dec 2002 6:37pm
HARi | hmmm... I thought it was a alright show but could have been better. last time i was at the tea house was to see ghosts and it was packed (and an excilent show). This time it was just a bunch of kids from gordo wanting to see shortfall..(i think) T.A.N. I had to say were the best of that nights line up. The main reason i went was to hear L.B. I was somewhat dissapointed with them however and ending up leaving after the 3rd song. but it was gnar how the bass player got hit in the head and started bleading.. - Mon, 16 Dec 2002 6:37pm

Devotchka | The show was great! I had a lot of fun. Shortfall were pretty good even though I'm not into that brand of punk. Tough as Nails were awsome. They played a really good set. Dissent were great too. Missed Lythic Blue though.Almost fell asleep in between sets so my friends and I left. Oh, well. - Wed, 18 Dec 2002 10:31am
Bag | I've heard rumours the name of the venue is being changed to "the piss house". - Wed, 18 Dec 2002 5:51pm
