Death Scream Bloody Gore User Info... | Did anyone else know of or go see Meatlocker Seven today at Centennial Square Open Air? I was right across the street at my store for about half the set and the sound was absolutely huge. Best sound quality I have ever heard around here so far. I didn't get to see the show from where I was so I would appreciate it if anyone could post how it was, as there are only rare occasions to see a metal band play open air in Victoria. Congratulations to ML7 for getting some major publicity through Much Music, hope to see it on T.V!! - Sun, 22 Aug 2004 1:14am
Japanese Air Force User Info... | They were fucking great! I haden't seen them in all my years of living here, but they certainly didn't disappoint. All the bands played great tonight. The show will be on Going Coastal in September, if you want to see some footage. There's some good footage of a little metalhead in training giving the full horns all set for ML7. ~JAF - Sun, 22 Aug 2004 1:54am
_Griphin_ User Info... | Ya know what fried my butt? The Zone Ranger (whoever she is) mentioned all the bands that were playing but failed to mention ML7, then to make it worse, the DJ also ran down the bands (I think including the After Party @ Steamers) but somehow forgot to mention ML7 as well. Question: Are the local media outlets scared to mention there playing?!? (Well other then The Daily) - Sun, 22 Aug 2004 1:58am
Joni User Info... | The Times Colonist had an article about the show in yesterday's paper, and ML7 was included along with the rest of the bands. It's unfortunate that they're getting cheated out of some of their deserved publicity though, just because of their sound or style. - Sun, 22 Aug 2004 8:09am
_Griphin_ User Info... | Yes, I just read the VicNews and they were also mentioned in there as well. - Sun, 22 Aug 2004 10:41am
Legion User Info... | Meatlocker 7 fucking owns. Local media can suck a bag of dicks. Love, Dave - Sun, 22 Aug 2004 11:38am
ML7Mike User Info... | Thanks guys! Glad you enjoyed it.. Sound on stage was the shits though, and the monitors guy wasnt listening to us so we played blind again. If I hadnt had my wireless on, Id not have been able to go over and hear the rest of the band it was that bad. We really need our own soundguy who'll work for used guitar picks and broken drum sticks. otherwise, had a blast! Media in Victoria has often be fair to us, and the Zone/Q etc promote most of the shows, so if they missed us in their announcement, Im sure it was an honest mistake, nothing conspiratory .. or is it.. The media will do what they do, we dont ask. - Sat, 28 Aug 2004 4:47pm
