Sandor User Info... | Right on, Halford is so dreamy. He makes me feel comfortable enough with myself that I would be proud to strut around in tight spandex and a leather vest. - Thu, 29 Jul 2004 8:19am
Cheeky User Info... | Yeah, I definately heard that it was Priest Fest instead of Ozzfest and that they stole the show most definately. I was a dork and ended up watching all the dvd's of their shows the entire day, it was the next best thing if I couldn't have been there. Can't wait for their own tour. Halford likes to tour with Dickenson, keep your fingers crossed. Any one sneak a camera in or anything? And who brought me back a gift ^_~ - Thu, 29 Jul 2004 4:21pm

davescene User Info... | My Ozzfest review: Second Stage: Some good bands, some trying too hard. I liked Devildriver, Throwdown, Lamb of God, of course Slipknot was the best (they scared me at Ozzfest '99). Lots of Slipknot fans there. First Stage: Black Label were all right, Super Joint ritual were the biggest egotistical losers on the planet and wouldn't shut up. The singer kept talking about war, Bush, blah blah blah and the crowd were screaming Shut the Fuck Up and play. The crowd went nuts for Slayer and in my books, although I don't listen to them much and have none of their albums, were THE most professional and tight band there. They played excellent and didn't bore anyone with cheap talk. Just laid down their music, whipped up the crowd and left the stage. Judas Priest was great. Again, the crowd went nuts and Halford was great. First song, Halford was standing in the centre of their backdrop of an eye and dove into Electric Eye. Half way thru their set they announced again they're back together and a new backdrop slid across behind them with United on it, maybe their new album. Crowd went crazy again. My only beef with Priest was Halford walked off the stage at the end of every song...didn't know what they were doing or whether they were finished or not. Glen Tiptronic and KK DownSyndrome were good and did their usual guitar wanking solos. Halford's voice was good, more screamy Painkiller-style but the guy could not hold a note for longer than 3 or 4 seconds. May have wreaked or weakened his voice on tour for now. He was cool and had the most awesome metal outfit on check the Ozzfest website for pictures. Everyone appeared to love them and they were so many cougars shaking their asses it wasnt funny. Black Sabbath was great. Toni Iommi is so classy and together. He look so poised, but relaxed, grinning at Ozzy and his antics. I liked his custom fretboards on his guitars of the Sabbath symbol. Geezer Butler was outstanding didnt realize how good the guy was he was all over the neck and played faster than we could probably hear. They did a cool thing with the video on the big screens they had different templates like backgrounds with video overtop of it and split the video up, played some creepy war videos during a couple songs. Ozzy is back, kids. When I saw him at Ozzfest 99 he could barely walk, barely raise his hands over his heads, but he was feisty! Jumping around, up and down and throwing his proverbial buckets of water at the ground, getting everyone amped. His arms look all muscular again and he was really good and upbeat. Still cant understand the guy but his voice is still pretty good. Had a great time, was with a great group of people, lots of weirdness and wackos there at Ozzfest. I recommend going simply for the eye candy. Will post more if I can remember. Cheers, Dave - Fri, 30 Jul 2004 9:50am

Robnoxious User Info... | Didn't go, my singer did. Said it was great after Phil ranted how great Superjoint was that Dimmu came out and said we have 20 minutes and we'll let the music do the talking, then tore shit up. Said Hatebreed really got the mosh happenig. Found some pics @ http://www.shadows.com/gravemusic/live/ozzfest2004/index.shtml - Sat, 31 Jul 2004 8:36pm

Nik Olaz User Info... | fuckin eh i'm just tired of the corporate trade-in fest. - Sun, 1 Aug 2004 10:03pm
ML7Mike User Info... | did you guys know that all those second stage bands at Ozzfest had to pay to be on the tour.. big bucks.. thats why you rarely see more underground acts on the bill. - Mon, 2 Aug 2004 11:29am
Nik Olaz User Info... | yeah i'm not to familiar with Ozzfest. it's just in previous years its seemed like a cash grab with a bunch of really poppy numetal bands. it's hard to take it seriously. - Mon, 2 Aug 2004 12:07pm
Bo-dom User Info... | to each their own then fellas... *cough blasphemous pigfuckers *uncough I had an awesome time - Mon, 2 Aug 2004 4:26pm
Bo-dom User Info... | oh shit, i shouldn't spell "fellows" like "fellas", that's numetal lingo and may offend some - Mon, 2 Aug 2004 4:29pm
Nik Olaz User Info... | word, brah. - Mon, 2 Aug 2004 10:01pm
Perpetual_Burn User Info... | It's kinda sad how Dimmu was the best band that played it eh? A waste of $150 plus travel costs if you ask me. And all for 40 minutes of a few bands that ya like. Nuuuumetal! - Mon, 2 Aug 2004 10:08pm
Cheeky User Info... | Dimmu was the best band?? Your fucking joking me! - Tue, 3 Aug 2004 12:38am
davescene User Info... | Yeah, I forgot to review Dummy Burger - they were good, but they played around 7PM and it was still quite bright out so it was hard to take them seriously, dark-metal wise, but they were professional and rocked. Thanks for posting the pictures - Ozzfest site sucks for posting pictures. - Tue, 3 Aug 2004 8:00am
Jo User Info... | Dimmu, Priest and Sabbath were the definately the best in my opinion. No one seemed too interested during Dimmu's set :( I guess those Americans just don't appreciate black metal or something... I don't understand why all you guys are saying 'numetal'?! Sure, most of the second stage bands are numetal (who pays to just see the second stage bands anyway?), but all the headlining bands are certainly NOT; Seeing Sabbath, Priest and Dimmu (and meeting them!) was absolutely worth my $200 bucks. Cheeks, you know i brought you a gift ;) - Mon, 9 Aug 2004 1:19am
