aside from arriving to a Sold Out show and having to con my way in, it was a great show! But all that fanagling with the door man cost me at least 3-4 Desensitized songs.

Good after party at Zak's, but for some reason all I can recall is aureola and cat pee? - Sun, 18 Jul 2004 12:59pm

The show kicked ass!

Great turnout, it was ripper to see Gross Misconduct again!!

Pariah's new song took the cake though!! (Smoke booze and drink weed)

Fact that this show was a sell-out is fucking awesome(minus for those who couldn't get in of course)

I love how the heavy scene here is picking up the pace!

That show ripped, Desensitized are fucking killer, super tight and just fucking blew me away.. Gross misconduct, wow I havent seen them since Soundgarden and man have they improved. I mean they were a good band then but they are a great band now. Pariah, holy fuck... every time I see them they get better and better. Easily one of the best metal bands to ever come off the island. Just makes me want to practice and practice all the time, granted I still wouldnt be that good but damn if it isnt inspiring to watch guys that talented. - Sun, 18 Jul 2004 6:15pm

Oh yes, wicked show! Just like the mid-summer metal fest @ Logan's last year, sold out before the 1st band finished and a great lineup where everything went awesome!

Big thanks to Logan's and their staff for the show.

And huge thanks to Desensitized and Gross Misconduct, all professionals and good guys to play and work with. And of course the biggest thanks to everyone else that either came out, or waited to get in to support the show.

I thought the 150 capacity limit would be enough.. I thought wrong :)

And Wolfe, it was some Weird Al song, not sure which one. - Mon, 19 Jul 2004 10:23am

It was totally good to see Gross Misconduct again. It brought me back to the Cambie days in Nanaimo... only it sounded fantastic.

I was SO fucking impressed with Pariah. That was the first time I've seen them play, and definately not the last. I was totally blown away.

Unfortunately I missed most of Desensitized's set. But all in all I had an absolutely great night. - Mon, 19 Jul 2004 11:55pm

First off, I'd just like to say that I'm a a huge fan of the amount of hot girls at our shows in Victoria..it never fails. Missed Desensitized's set because I was getting ready for ours, but I heard Slayer's "At Dawn They Sleep", and that made me feel extremely warm. Our set went well, although a little sloppy in parts. Didn't get to play all of our tunes, but whatever, you guys seemed to have gotten (sorry grammar nazis) the point. Pariah... Well, I really tried my best to stand at attention with my arms folded, scowling at them while they played (so I could live up to the awesome Vancouver metalhead stereotype), but I just couldn't. It was too hard. Because they are good. Really good. Also, I'm quite sure I professed undying love to all of their band members that night. If anyone has pics or video (pretty sure I saw some dude with a video camera) please send them to either [email protected] or [email protected]. Thanks Victoria. I (we) love you. - Thu, 22 Jul 2004 12:04pm
