Nik Olaz User Info... | As always a Burnside show is...interesting. Not that many came out, but it was more friendly that way. Acting Ensign...i think they weren't playing slow enough for my tastes. I usually like to hear one note, some silence, then maybe 10 or 20 mintues later the same note...maybe even on the next string. Suckcess kicked ass. Totally great song titles, the one about making love to the blender was awesome. Totally fucking hilarious grind! Neckbeerd ripped it up. I have to give mad props to their drummer. The guy is fast. And the vocals mixed nicely, along with the frantic bass guitar. All in all, i'd prefer to go see Good Charlotte. But then again, they're not as pretty as the burnside folk. - Sat, 3 Jul 2004 1:21pm
Bryn User Info... | Good show, good house, good people. There was a low-turnout for this one, given the gutsy decision to go head to head against the Dayglo Abortions. Those that came were treated to a top-notch presentation. The bands were rad and fast, with the exception of Acting Ensign, who were rad and slow. There was a lot of beer, good food and Klingon door prizes! I drunkenly brandished my camera, and will have some posts from the show... ummmmm, soon? - Sat, 3 Jul 2004 2:07pm
OftenBongSoong User Info... | yah it was a small turnout.. but the bands all ruled!!.. i had a blast.. suckcess were pretty impressive.. i really liked the vocals and the weird circus riffs.. and the banter was pretty good as well. neckbeerd were as good as i was expecting.. love watching the drummer play.. all one foot.. so fast! insane riffs.. and again.. awesome vocals. was a real treat.. nice to see everybody out. thanks to all the folks who made yummy food for the bands. those that stuck around were treated to the first batch of the burnside grogery home brew.. and door prizes.. cheers to neckbeerd and suckcess! thanks for playing our basement. good luck on the tour! - Sat, 3 Jul 2004 7:32pm
hesher User Info... | Suckcess thanks all the folks who put together this show for us. We had a great time in Victoria...Thanks for not kicking us out of your house for being to greasy, drunk and retarded. Cheers,we would love to come back one day. Chad C. - Sat, 3 Jul 2004 11:42pm
sludgecunt User Info... | unfortunately for me those "brownies" kicked in during AE so i was trippin' hXc and had to take my hurting ass home to bed before i passed out/puked in burnside. - Sun, 4 Jul 2004 10:35am
Masturbating The War God User Info... | Ugh, that home brew did not aggree with all the weed I smoked and the two other different kinds of beer I drank. Thanks for another enchanting evening, great bands and good times. Neckbeerd was insane, very good, though not enough vocals!!! Ahhh, those door prizes were the best, I wish I'd won the pop can pipe. - Sun, 4 Jul 2004 11:14am
Curmudgeon Rocker User Info... | Well, after I recover from the temporary blindness brought on by above photo.....Both out of town bands were "fuckeen' rippa" (as they say in Austrailia). Apparently Suckcess's blender song was written only a week ago - I told them aftwerwards how much it stood out and ruled. Hesher's a crazy drummer - hope he won't be an "evil menace" on the road this month. I won a Cryptopsy button! It's going on my squash bag for sure. - Sun, 4 Jul 2004 11:20am
Mutilashawn User Info... | good times!! AE ripped a hole in time and space. Suckcess absolutely ruled, FRAGGLE FUCKING ROCK!!! and Neckbeerd was great, I was completely mesmerized by hesher's drumming!! FUcking eh!!!! Good bands, great people and fucking door prizes . . . . the best place for shows???? I'd like to think so! - Sun, 4 Jul 2004 11:41am
