canon.docre User Info... | Did anyone end up going out to this? I made it there at 4pm, and there were a few vehicles up there and people were just setting up the stage and taking it easy. By the time the first band played a shit-load of people had shown up, and everyone was ready to party. Warchuck - members of War Hero and Chuck Norris playing .. War Hero and Chuck Norris songs. The singer from Chuck Norris was sounding just as hilarious and awesome as always. Relentless Ben - drummer was insane, band was cool although I think a few people were a bit put off by how un-punk they appeared. Those people need to get their heads out of their asses, good music is good music. Massgrave - These guys always destroy, and probably got the craziest crowd response. Victims Choice - awesome hardcore, reminds me a bit of Black Flag. Definitely a unique sounding band in the context of the west coast grind overload. Sixbrewbantha - Hahahah geez these guys are always awesome. Their drummer was doing bong rips in between songs. Ahhhh the great outdoors! Blasting grind violence! Kali - This band was totally amazing, very dynamic with fast, slow, and medium parts with some epic buildups. They are calling it quits from what I have heard, which is too bad because they are amazing. From Red Deer, too. Wth? Lab Rat - Sam from Rape Revenge filled in for their bass player, and they played a triumphant set. Did some Rape Revenge songs too. Sidetracked - 25 songs in probably around 6 minutes. Tight as fucking hell, their guitar player used the clean channel and they had a very cool sound to them. Powerviolence as hell. All and all a good time. Some guys were tripping on LSD and were attacking people's tents, and someone choked one of them out. He thought it was funny, anyways. Everyone brought too much beer, rather than not having enough, so anyone who wasn't straight-edge was totally bombed. Good times! I highly recommmend going out to GHPR fest out in Squamish in a month if you aren't coming to VIHC fest in Victoria ;) Beautiful spot, and good times to be had. Don't let the summer pass you by! - Sun, 4 Jul 2010 6:41pm
Sati User Info... | someone's gotta remind some of those guys to stop growing. They're Gigantic! Sounds fun - I really wanted to see MG somewhere after their tour. Would've been great to see bands like CN again too. Reminds me of those old house/hall/space shows they all used to play. so much fun. but hey, I never looked punk enough for those shows... wtf? You guys need to enforce the dress code more stringently & quit talking to people like me or we're gonna feel welcome. - Wed, 7 Jul 2010 9:56am Edited: Wed, 7 Jul 2010 10:00am
