Kris North User Info... | This was a fun show man. I had a good time indeed. Moses Mayes: These guys were good I suppose. I found nothing amazing about them. But I still enjoyed them. They got some people dancing heavily. A few cool songs. Cool keyboards. Good at what they do, a bit more diversity would have been nice. The dj had high energy. Bullfrog: I love bullfrog. Slow down was incredible. Good stage pressence for sure. His voice is perfect for the music, and his lyrics are kick ass. THe dancing was slow, and the crowd was feeling the vibes man. It was sweet. My only complaing may be I was a little tired by the end. But I think these guys kick ass, and I deffinitely would not miss a chance to see them. Wicked show, jazz fest is owning this year. - Mon, 28 Jun 2004 12:40am
The Professor User Info... | I was actually really dissapointed by Bullfrog. i'd seen them before and they were really high energy fun party music. I loved the show I saw before(Jazzfest 2002 I think). This time it was completely different. It was like melow smooth funk. Less musicans and really sleepy feeling. Kid koala was doing some fairly uninteresting background scratching, nothing at all like what I remember. I don't know if the cand has changed it's style or were just tryign to do a "smooth" show for jazzfest does anyone know? I missed Moses Mayes on Sunday but caught them at Upstairs on Monday. Really cool, expecially the guy on the old-school synths. A little more variety woudl certainly have been nice though. - Tue, 29 Jun 2004 3:25pm
