gibson_freak User Info... | ok I dropped by and missed the opening act but i saw stutterfly come on set so i was releived.. they played an awsoem show but the turn out sucked.. i thought people missed out... lythic blue sure made a 180 flip in their style.. i could sensce real talent in their new material...and of course the fun of seeing everybodys car battery dieing out after the show.. seeing 1 truck jump from car to car to start em all up.. - Mon, 9 Dec 2002 1:00am
Livevic Scott User Info... | Yeah lythic blue's new stuff is f'in dope. Some of it is a bit of a continuation with what they were doing before, but the other stuff is a total 180 (as mentioned above) some punk/hardcore influence. Some of it sorta sounds like Primus but with the bass toned down a bit of course (think the brown album with its sorta marching tempo) but then mixed with something like Mr. Bungle. But then even that explanation isn't right. I don't think the they're done experimenting with thier sound yet but if you didn't like Lythic blue when you saw them last .. give em another listen and your opinion just might change. Next weekend at the Tea House with Dissent (another rad band) check em out! Also anyone who missed this show come to Thursdays tommorow night! 9pm, they're REALLY tight, and that bassists scream is REALLY intense. The hall wasn't doing em any justice but I think with the added PA boost we're bringing into Thursdays Stutterfly is gonna tear the place apart! And for only $5, because what the hell else ya doing on monday night? We're gonna try and get the bands started semi early (9:30ish) so that people can get home and in bed for work at a decent hour. - Mon, 9 Dec 2002 1:25am
Lythic Elliot | I feel bad for anyone who missed Travel by Radar, they are an amazing band. Their sound is kind of ambient, with a nice blend of guitar and keyboard. There is a definite rock feel behind the songs though, they just sounded amazing. And if you haven't heard Stutterfly yet, you will. Their live show is pretty intense. Overall the show was a lot of fun for the people who came, myself included. Thanks to Scott for keeping our scene alive. - Mon, 9 Dec 2002 1:38am
Adam | Hey Elliot, Sorry I missed the show! I had band practice. I was planning to go for the last two weeks till I found out it was on a sunday. I was really looking forward to hearing the new stuff and seeing Ted's new band too! Glad to hear the show went well though. - Mon, 9 Dec 2002 2:02am
