Who saw this show and what did you think of it. I was totally blown away by The Cloak. Last night was the first time I had heard them and they sounded spot on. I was really lovin' their vocalists bellowing cries...he almost went sub-sonic. They were really wicked to see! And as usual ML7 tore it apart. It was my first time seeing them play with their new drummer....and fuck I have to say that Deathmetal Dave was amazing. Next we come to Ion Dissonance: mind bending technicality, village plundering bass riffs, ear drum hemoraging vocals, brutally violent calculated guitar, killer corpse defiling drummer and to top it al off....a Felix the Cat shirt. These bunch of Frenchies blew me fuckin away. When they played "Binary Part 1" I fuckin lost my mind and my face hit the floor. I couldnt help but mop the Garry Oak room with my greasy matted hair. Last but not least was The End. These guys were a vicious blend of melodic & fast..yet precisely calculated, heavy riffs. They were about as mathcore as it comes without being rediculously complex to understand. I liked them alot, but at times found myself confused. Their stuff was really complex for me and I couldn't get into it fully because I would never know what was coming up next. Other than that they were wicked and I really recommend seeing thses guys if they ever come back. OH, ya...and for $8 the show was SO worth it. Wicked evening. Except for the swashbuckling Ska kids hitting people in the face... - Sat, 15 May 2004 4:26am

i cant even begin with this show.. i dont know where to start, 8 bucks? are you sure? only 8 bucks... come on.. no.. o wait.. you are serious..

cloaks backup vocals rock house.. i love the bark soundingness, ML7 = rad nuff said.. and holy shit... i thank the sweet Norse gods for sending us ID and The End all the way from poutineville. ID, as you know if youve heard them, if not, please kill yourself, or listen, are immensely technical, off the wall mathcore style madness, and they pulled it off flawlessly, Ive never seen a bassist more intense,( + FELIX!!!) and overall just killed it! The End, also fantastic, as tluk oort says, it was hard to follow, possibly from my earplugs falling out and i couldnt hear right, but the bass was too quiet, and the band seemed frustrated in general. HOWEVER! FANTASTIC. they killed it.. butt cutting madness in general.

If You were there, you know, If not.. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA :P - Thu, 27 May 2004 1:12pm
