_Griphin_ User Info... | Sweathogs, rocked as usual... Then Big John Bates took the stage, with cheerleader types. Man what an interesting set, hooked me!!! They were even cool enuff to do a encore, but not just any encore, thing lastest 5 songs if that. In any case, I got a huge crush on their blonde diva, she's awesome. Helonwheels User Info... | It was super wicked. Frickin eh John Bates Band and their lovely sultry ladies,so sexy, kept us all going through their entire set . Thanks to the Lucky Bar staff for seeing the BS that was going on up front by one loser fakkwawd and having him removed, cocksucker. Big thanks to Jay Brown for finshing him off, how are your knuckles Jay? Any way if ya get a chance for sure go and check out John Bates Band, they put on a wicked kick ass entertainning show. Didn't you enjoy the shite when the bass player got on her wicked stand up bass and "rode" it sideways while playing? - Fri, 9 Apr 2004 7:49am
jay brown User Info... | That show was great, the Sweathogs played a great set, nice work on being all punkie in the audience at the end there Terri. Big John Bates were awesome, great sound, very much influenced by the Cramps, but not a ripoff at all. As for the idiot in the audience, what I heard later on is that he has picked fights with a number of people I know, and he's the guy that tried to rip off the tip jar from Logans a while ago as well. So when he hits a girl I'm friends with, well ya gotta do what ya gotta do sometimes. The beer he smashed me in the face with didnt feel very good, but that was the only shot he got in so whatever. But enough about him, he wasnt the reason I went there, and let me tell you I'm glad I went. The bands were definitely worth the trip downtown and the rest of the crowd were awesome. The burlesque show on stage while they were playing was totally cool. Yup seeing her riding her standup bass was rad, and her belly dancing number was sweet too. I would definitely tell everyone to go see them when they come back cause they put on a great show. - Fri, 9 Apr 2004 12:26pm
Pooetry User Info... | I dug the show. It was very entertaining. I had fun. I love the Sweathogz, but I've heard them play better. Everyone has their off moments. - Fri, 9 Apr 2004 2:22pm
_Griphin_ User Info... | Yeah I was wondering about that dude in the Misfits shirt, I almost had an altercation with him myself, but I just walked away from it. Kudos to Lucky bar staff for dragging his sorry ass outta there (he looked like he wanted to start a fight). Sorry to hear about that happening Helon. I felt bad for knocking your beer over (my fingertips hit it and it dropped onto the floor). BTW: Never use the ATM machine at Lucky, $2.50 service charge?!? Probably the most expensive I've seen anywhere. - Fri, 9 Apr 2004 3:15pm
