Fucking A!!! I can't believe how well this show went!!!! We had well over 100 people show up; I was a little worried about how the sound was going to be but our sound guys did a really wicked job!!! With the amount of people that showed up we wouldn't have been able to use the kitchen anyways so overall I'm really pleased with the turnout.
MITOCHONDRION busted out some great death metal, I unfortunately had to do the door most of the night since I put on the show but Mutilashawn's vocals echoed through quite nicely, I can't get over those vocals!!! PARIAH was just fucking great, great guitar work, the singer's pretty good too, he suits 'em. Our SEASONS OF SORROW set went well, I was a little worried that I was gonna get tackled again 'cause people were really starting to mosh it up a bit but all went well. ALLFATHER's set crushed, but again, I wouldn't expect less. Too bad the toms on his kit weren't mic'ed, I think that would've made things perfect, but I was up front anyways so I could hear things well all in all. They had people drive up from California to come see them too.
Cheers for all who came!!! Glad to know there's still a scene here!!!! Cheers!!!! - Sun, 29 Feb 2004 1:41pm

Yes it was a good show for sure, Mitochondrion had alot of energy and conviction, hope to be seeing more of them.It was the first time for me seeing SOS, definately had a specific vision and carried it out well(hurry up and record something you bastards!)Sadly enough I couldn't stay for Allfather's set, but Iam confident they opened a whole new gate of hell that evening! One final note, the audience yet again I say all agers shows have the best fuckin crowd!!
Thanks for the support - Sun, 29 Feb 2004 1:52pm

That they do. We actually prefer playing all-ages shows. - Sun, 29 Feb 2004 2:04pm

I was actually really impressed with this show (so impressed, in fact, that I'm actually posting...).
Mitochondrion...hehe well done boys. I'm very proud.
Seasons of Sorrow amazed the hell out of me, I didn't know there was a group of people that talented in our little city. You guys make me like metal :) - Sun, 29 Feb 2004 2:09pm

My my, we could not have asked for a better first show to kick off Mitochondrion. I would like to thank everyone who showed up for our set (and even those who appologized for missing it).

Pariah- New singer Brandon sounded great, this guy is really fucking consistent. Cool stickers to. I have never seen Pariah before and I heard they sounded At-the-Gates-ish, well they did but they did it very well. Harmonies and solos were awesome. Also Howard on bass blew my mind.

SOS- Never seen Seasons either. Outside of the two Mp3's they have on their site I have heard nothing else. BUT HOLY SHIT, these guys blew my mind. Adrian's intensity matched with incredible clean vocal were excellent. This band is quite eclectic to say the least, and the music shows it. I loved the mix of funk bass, 10 minute solos (both guitar and drum), and the black metal sneer of the vocals. All in all, I would have to say that this is one of Victoria's best.

Allfather- Well fuck, what can I say about this band. When I heard that guys from California came up to see them I felt, well, privileged. Not only to see them but to have played on the same bill. When they played Warlust, me and Nick (gits for Mito) lost it completely. A phenonmenal set. Jasper on 2nd guitar really makes all the difference, the sound was much more whole. Just fucking intense overall, and evil as fuck. Nothing like a healthy dose of war metal. Thunderous bass, fast riffs, solid drumming, and relentless vocals (do I sound like a fucking fan boy yet?). Good to see 'em again.

Thanks to all who put this show on: Adrian, sound guys, and everyone who showed up. Thanks to all the bands, and that hopefully we will play again with in the future. - Sun, 29 Feb 2004 2:29pm

This show ruled the bands were awesome, the sound was good, the crowd was cool. I've never been to a show there where that big room was being used just the small one on the other side of the hall, that big room rocked. Everything about this show was cool, I had a great time. I love good metal, it's so cool when people actually pull it off cause there are few things worse than a bad metal band. The bands last night fucking blew me away. - Sun, 29 Feb 2004 3:35pm

Awesome show, Pariah kiked ass so did Allfather! I wasnt really into the other bnads as much, although they are good they didnt have that same quality as AF and Pariah have, that pro feel to the music. Over all a good show, but after seeing ml7/omega crom the night before with the huge soundsystem it just didnt stack up for sound but lots of taent especally in Pariah! Thanks for the show! - Sun, 29 Feb 2004 7:05pm

Yesss, good to hear some positive feedback. I thought this show did ROYALLY KICK ASS, all the bands! Cheers Akylore for bringing it all together. Excellent lineup, good turnout. Sound guys did a swell job too. Always a treat to see Seasons. Allfather kicked way more ass than the last time I saw em, but that was a long time ago...
Cheers to all who fucked shit up!!! - Sun, 29 Feb 2004 8:48pm

I enjoyed watching the mosh pit and that one guy losing most of his shirt, then there was the scuffle, and the guy who was tossed out of the crowd hear first and slid on the floor, goodtimes. - Sun, 29 Feb 2004 9:46pm

It's always a special treat for me to see you there Mr. Silverfish. Watching BBJones play is always fun too. Before Mitochondrion, I'd never seen power tools implemented in a song like that before. (Unless you count Einsterzend Neubaten). - Sun, 29 Feb 2004 10:02pm

Yeah I have to say I really enjoyed that organ splatter set and if they put on a show like that everytime I will go check them out again.
Yeah Pariah rule and you know it.
Seasons sounded wicked, although I had to leave half way through their set as it was time to put my son to bed. He liked seasons the best out of the three and was sad we had to leave. Adrian is my favorite metal singer in vic for sure. - Mon, 1 Mar 2004 12:30pm

I fuckin loved this show, probably my favorite we've ever played. In response to Danny requesting that we record something, our new CD is done, we're just waiting for the cover art. Mitochondrian were great, excellent vocal assault. Pariah blew me away completely, INSANE lead guitar work and all around rippin musicians. Unfortunately I missed Allfather but heard they slayed. We will definitely be putting on another all-ager in Vic soon. - Mon, 1 Mar 2004 2:01pm

Well done Adrian! The show was a huge success; It's very good of you to devote your time and energy to put on a Metal all-ager.

All the bands were great! It was my first time seeing SOS and boy, I was sure impressed. Loved the riffs and the pretty melodic vocals. As for Pariah...fucking awesome!Huge improvement with Bo and Howie; much better than the last time I saw you guys (at Metal Mayhem II in Brentwood). The intensity/power was very apparent and well-appreciated. I really enjoyed the At the Gates cover :)

If you guys (or gals) love all-agers, be sure to check out METAL MAYHEM III in Brentwood Bay sometime around late April or early May... it will definately be worth the time getting out there (I'm going to stay mum about the lineup, but as far as I know, it's pretty damn good). If anyone wants more info about this show, talk to Elizabeth. - Mon, 1 Mar 2004 8:47pm

SOS had a fuckin sweet set; haven't heard them until that show. I enjoyed the Pariah set; but after goin to bed at 7:00AM after a night of beer houndin' that morning, I could have fallen asleep watching the show. It's good to see a lot of anklebiters there, some of which im glad didn't get ragdolled in the semi-pit. Woulda been nice to hit up the after party, but Bo hadda work early. Next time u drink Nueman, bring a camera and then you'll know who u challenged. U were bleedin allover the fuckin place, yet u looked pretty placid and happy. Beer, aint' it great?! - Wed, 3 Mar 2004 8:18am
