Nik Olaz User Info... | was awesome Bury What's Dead as usual kicked ass. Liking the new songs alot. Acting Ensign's sludge grind tore my limbs off in Klingon rage Our set went good. Repulverizers last show was incredible. I'm fucking gonna miss that band so much. Played every song they ever did. What about you guys? - Sun, 8 Feb 2004 12:54am
sewnflesh User Info... | yeah.. this was a super fun show. a pretty good turnout too considering how quick it came together. Organsplatter/Mitochondrion were fucking great. these kids know how to rock!! great drumming and brutal vocals and really fast riffs. hopefully next time they play we'll here a few more mitochondrion songs. Repulverizer fucking destroyed.. my neck is still sore from banging. crazy hair whippage and guitar/bass riffage. i'll miss these guys. thx to everybody who came and respected the space, we had no problems other than some dumb fucker who decided to wreck a car parked in our driveway. other than that... the show was awsome. - Sun, 8 Feb 2004 10:32am
edgedoobie User Info... | Yeah, fuck you guy that thought trashing a car at an all ages show would be a good idea. There is a car dealership within throwing distance from the burnside house, why not smash up some company property rather than fuckin over your peers? I didn't even know there was a show that night, i was hangin out at 7/11 as usual, when the guitar player from Acting Ensign smoked some roaches with me and told me about it. Best part of the night was when Acting Ensign (looking SO hot that night) passed around like seven dubes during their set, i find their music more appealing when accompanied with a head full of "kind bud". - Sun, 8 Feb 2004 11:35am
Rollerballs User Info... | Fuck i love the Mito! Watching Repulverizer was like learning how to rock all over again. It was an honor to play their last show with them, thanks guys, you'll be missed! When Organsplatter hit the stage i dropped my 7/11 hotdog and started chugging beer, they were so intense i had to imediately sedate myself so i wasn't a danger to myself or anyone else. Could they be the most evil band in town? No, AntiEvangelist is, and i will not rest until there is a Acting Ensign/AntiEvangelist split released. Thanks to all the bands, except BWD, they always suck, hard. And a special fuck you to the car wrecking dude. - Sun, 8 Feb 2004 11:52am
Nik Olaz User Info... | i think that split sounds like a very very good idea. - Sun, 8 Feb 2004 12:15pm
Mutilashawn User Info... | Things couldn't have gone better in my opinion. I enjoy BWD more every time I see them. Such musicianship and Brad's drumming is so damn tight. Could careless if they fucked up. Look forward to a BWD, Organsplatter/Mito, Acting Ensign, and Antievangelist show. Acting Ensign = see last sentence of previous paragraph. Thanks to everone who came out to see Organsplatter/Mitochondrion. I was NOT expecting to get such a good reaction. Had a great time doing it too. Repulverizer- Always good, this time was no different. Only knowing that I wouldn't be able to see them again in the future was the down point. Also I missed a chunk of their set because of the mother fucker who thought it was a good idea to smash up my buddy's car (only down part of the night). Doug's kicks slayed. And the songs sounded better than ever. Good luck to Orgiastic Disembowler in Van. Look forward to the Repulverizer reunion show . . . if ever it may be. - Sun, 8 Feb 2004 2:25pm
masturbating the war god User Info... | I had a great time as well!! Especially when I bailed on that broken stair and broke my pipe and last beer :( But all in all, it was pretty funny. I think that Acting Ensign and Zuckass should have a Star Trek/Wars show down. - Sun, 8 Feb 2004 3:39pm
Broccoli User Info... | yeah, what the fuck was up with those stairs? like... seven more chix fell down right after you. I unfortunatly missed Repulvorizer... I only saw the acting-ensign/mt/organsplatter set. They were good. Their show at the end of the month with Allfather, SOS, and that lowest of castes promises to slay. - Sun, 8 Feb 2004 4:17pm
often wrong soong User Info... | my deepest apologies for the broken pipe and spilt drinks.. sorry to anybody that fell on the broken stair... in retrospect we should have blocked off the stairs. i didn't realize how hard it was to see going down until the morning. come to the next ensign show and we'll make amends.. i think there was an extra p.c.p. around after our last set. - Sun, 8 Feb 2004 5:04pm
Akylore User Info... | The show kicked ass. I missed BWD but I've seen them before so I'm sure it was good. Repulveriser was just great. I'll miss 'em, bought a CD before I left. Acting Ensign had some really weird guitar distorion going on during their set, actually rather tripped me out. Fucking huge impressed with Mitochondrion, Shawn's vocals fucking blew me away, and the cover of Napalm Death's 'Dead' brought some sentimental feelings of my grade 10-roadrunner/earache-death metal days. Cheers! See you all on the 28th! - Sun, 8 Feb 2004 5:19pm
HAND OF DOOM User Info... | the sub-space distortion blew my fragile little mind. - Sun, 8 Feb 2004 11:15pm
Cruiser User Info... | Wow, eh, thanks for all the nice words here, just glad to know people enjoyed us while we lasted. Big thanks to the Burnside Buddies for having us over, it's a killer venue and I hope lots more shows happen there. Looks like the future of the Victoria underground is in good hands. All the other bands were great, all three are filling a niche that's otherwise kind of empty around here. Organsplatter was exactly what I was hoping they'd be, and the vocalist could be Victoria's answer to Connor. The song titles are right out of the goregrind/humour textbook, right on. AE and BWD were great like last time, with some good new stuff, hope they can keep it up and start playing longer sets! Thanks again to everyone who came out and pitched in for the PA rental. Sorry to hear about a trashed car, I wasn't even aware that had happened. Oh, maybe Orgiastic Disemboweller might be able to line us up a "reunion" gig in Vancouver in the near future, we'll see. - Sun, 8 Feb 2004 11:34pm
masturbating the war god User Info... | No worries about the stairs, it must have been funny to those who saw it, I will definately be at the next show, great times! I can't believe somone's car was wrecked, that's just ridiculous, I would hate to be the person that fucked my car. - Mon, 9 Feb 2004 1:05am
M&B User Info... | Evan though i was not at this show it still was the best show i ever saw. - Mon, 9 Feb 2004 4:59am
Oxygen Thief User Info... | I think it's pretty obvious that we would kick the crap out of any Star Wars band. Star Wars?!?!?!?! Pfft. That shit ain't real. Transporters and warpcore? That shit it totally real. Plus, Star Trek never had a character whose name rhymed with "Yar Yar". - Mon, 9 Feb 2004 1:58pm
KnifeGhost User Info... | What about Tasha Yar? (PS: Fuck Star Wars.....) - Mon, 9 Feb 2004 2:40pm
masturbating the war god User Info... | Bah, any tr00 star wars fan knows that episodes 1-3 are crap and Lucas should be shot on site. I dunno about Star Trek, hard to beat Tit-raped by a Taun-Taun. - Mon, 9 Feb 2004 4:56pm
Broccoli User Info... | I don't remember any tit raping in that movie... I thought the taun-taun were a decent kind of creature - Mon, 9 Feb 2004 7:22pm
Funpants&Fannypacks User Info... | "Tit-raped by a Taun-Taun", i seem to recall seeing that on an album cover a few years back. Weak at best. Rape humour, always a crowd pleaser, a crowd of misogynist idiots maybe. There is NO comparison between starwars and startrek, unless your trying to decide which is worse, Enterprise (with Scott Bakula) or episodes 1-3 (with Jar-Jar). I could give a list of reasons proving why startrek is better, instead i'll leave you with one reason that alone proves startrek's superiority; HOMO-EROTICA. - Tue, 10 Feb 2004 8:36am
ML7Mike User Info... | Is that song by Vancouver grinders Zuckuss ? - Tue, 10 Feb 2004 9:51am
masturbating the war god User Info... | Bah, suit yourself, coming from someone with the world's hidious person in their profile! Haha, jk. Ya, That Zuckass - Tue, 10 Feb 2004 10:40am
Rollerballs User Info... | Oooh now you've done it! Nick is mad! But i've calmed him down by giving him a quick reacharound whilst watching the Phantom Menace. Boo-urns. - Tue, 10 Feb 2004 2:14pm
Dd[]sanger User Info... | Cheers to those 3 bastards I hot boxed that jam spot with during bury whats dead - \m/ I almost fell down the stairs as well but I caught the rail! *points and laughs at "the nine"* I'd mention something about the bands but honestly I got soo drunk all I remember is flailing... so... A good time was had by all! *except the nine who fell down the stairs of course* - Thu, 12 Feb 2004 6:29am
