| rP User Info... | Lownote are vocals/piano, violin, bass and drums. Aggressive, heavy rock/classical influenced stuff, from what I could tell. The rhythms seem pretty regimented and straight, with not a lot of give, and they seemed to keep fairly consistent that way through their set. Pretty cool seeing something so different in a bar. Drummer plays in Goatsblood and they got some pretty strong encouragement from the crowd. A Javelin Reign is also a fairly new band who're playing about a zillion times here in the next month. They all look really young and play technical sounding intense grind. I swear the guitarist IS mick jagger, totally hams it up while he's playing. I think they're recording soon, and what I've heard so far is fucking impressive. And Goatsblood.. when's the last time you guys on the island got to see them? We've been lucky lately since they've been playing a lot out here. long slow punishing..sludgy noisy dragging you down til you wanna die grind. The type of band that hands you something different every show, this time a brilliant, short (for a change) ending. | lownote User Info... | Yes that was a good show. It was our first (lownote) and it went great, except that our drummer broke his hand. A Javelin Reign kicked ass and Goatsblood floored the place. | Ruddy Flowered User Info... | This was a great show (I've just discovered this forum, so excuse my tard-iness). A Javelin Reign kicked shit, but I'd like to sit back with a full-length to digest properly (indigestion and all). Lownote are one of my favorite new bands in Vancouver, hands down.
