Crux User Info... | http://www.tc-helicon.com/products/voicelive-2/ unless you're going to be playing gigantic venues(and since you're playing metal) i doubt you will be, a wireless system is just one extra thing to break. but it's your choice. I would get an sm 58 over a beta 58. - Tue, 17 May 2011 10:17am
Mr. Hell User Info... | To play the guy on the other shoulder... I own both a 58 and a Beta 58. The 58 is a great all purpose mic that doesn't require much technique in distance and positioning from your mouth when vocalizing. However, if you have that bullshit figured out, the Beta is your mic as it just sounds more robust and clear when used properly. I have tried a million (well 4 to be exact) vocal processing units and I find that they all kill the natural pounding and terror of a good vocalist's emittances. I use a Shure Beta 58 and a regular 58 when I feel lazy. I only have a DD-6 for making people's heads explode at the proper times. The sound man takes care of reverbs at the board anyway. What more do you need? Get someone in the band to get some vocal lessons and that should eliminate your need for a processing unit...unless you are not that good at vocalizing. Anyway, after that is all said and done, I will be looking at this new machine out of sheer curiosity to see if they finally invented a useful live vocal unit. - Sun, 19 Jun 2011 1:59pm
