| Ben S User Info... | for metal it all depends, ive seen people shred hardcore melodic death metal on a Les Paul, and then other people use the BC rich Mockingbird. Personally for Metal (of all types) i would go with a Jackson or a ESP, Im using a ESP LTD Alexi-200, im a huge bodom fan, and the esp hooked up to my line-6 spyder 4 with a boss Metal zone 2 has a great tone for metal, but because of its shape practicing sitting down is a bit awkward, and because of its size a special case is required. Its all personal preference though, best bet is to go to the shop try out each using the same riffs or similar riffs and then see which your most comfortable with.
