Kaleb User Info... | Low-ballers will be ignored.....i.e. "Truth by Trial". - Sat, 17 Jun 2006 3:52pm
Truth By Trial User Info... | Well maybe people shouldn't expect to receive outrageous sums of money for gear that is not at all worth it........ie. "Kaleb" $25, seriously, best offer you are going to get. - Sat, 17 Jun 2006 7:16pm Edited: Sat, 17 Jun 2006 7:17pm
Nicholas User Info... | Nah, it's worth more than that. The last time I saw a Fostex was a in a pawnshop this week for $350 or so. I gotta admit, I'm tempted but I just don't have the cash this month. - Sat, 17 Jun 2006 7:43pm
Kaleb User Info... | Truth by Trial: Check out what Nicholas had to say(thanks by the way Nicholas). I'm not sure why you think 200 OBO is outrageous. Go to L and M and price yourself out a cassette multitracker. They still sell them for over 300 plus tax. And just out of curiousity, if "$25 is the best offer I'm gonna get", then why did you offer $50 originally? I could always hold it for you Nicholas if your really interested. Cheers, Kaleb. - Sun, 18 Jun 2006 8:42am
sonic the hemp hog User Info... | Not intersted in buying, but I think your unit is overpriced. When was it last serviced, had the heads cleaned? - Sun, 18 Jun 2006 9:52am
Kaleb User Info... | The heads were just cleaned prior to my decision to post it for sale. Mind you I should have the oil checked and the tires rotated. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but I'm a bit confused as to why you bothered posting if you're not interested. It's an OR BEST OFFER posting so 200 is not set in stone but $50 and $25 is just a ridculous attaempt at lowballing. For the people that are interested IT'S $200 O.B.O. OBO......we all know what that means right????????? Cheers, Kaleb. - Sun, 18 Jun 2006 10:16am
Nicholas User Info... | Nah, don't hold it for me - I know I'm looking for some recording gear at this stage in the game, but this isn't in my range of expertise and I still have to decide whether or not I want to go analog or digital myself. :) - Sun, 18 Jun 2006 9:51pm
KnifeGhost User Info... | Geh. I'd be interested in buying if I wasn't so sure that I want the flexibility of digital. I really enjoy the tape saturation on (cheapish) analog gear. It would fit with the rest of my late-80s "vintage" gear. I hope this goes to a good home. - Sun, 18 Jun 2006 11:47pm
SublimeKid User Info... | Uh....testing us on our acronyms....O.B.O stands for "Or best offer" if my memory serves me correctly. So far........the lowballing of 50$ takes it! - Mon, 19 Jun 2006 10:07am
Kaleb User Info... | Yes, it does stand for "OR BEST OFFER" but I'm not an idiot. I will NOT be sold to anyone for $50. Cheers, Kaleb. - Mon, 19 Jun 2006 10:25am
KnifeGhost User Info... | This isn't an auction, for fuck's sake. He can accept or reject any offer as he sees fit. - Mon, 19 Jun 2006 11:36am
Rubber Box User Info... | so that means it not o.b.o. anymore? - Mon, 19 Jun 2006 11:48am
Kaleb User Info... | Best REASONABLE Offer. I'll sell to anyone serious for $160 at this point. And thanks KnifeGhost.... Cheers, Kaleb. - Mon, 19 Jun 2006 12:10pm
Kaleb Kaleb or AL kalebboy *at* yahoo.com Messages Posted: Looking for cool people to do some casual jamming with. I'm a metal-head but my tastes are certainly not limited to that genre. Just creating and collaborating with other layed back but serious musicians is my purpose for posting here. I play drums/percussion and guitar. I would consider my self an intermmediate am. at both depending on how much coffee and sleep I've had. | BUMP. - Wed, 21 Jun 2006 11:27am
KnifeGhost User Info... | I have a Tascam 414 sitting in my closet. What advantages does the X-28 give? - Thu, 22 Jun 2006 2:13am
Kaleb User Info... | KnifeGhost: If you already have a Tascam 414 then they are essentially the same thing. I know with the Fostex you can do "ping-pong" tracking which is a way to lay more than 4 tracks of overdubbing(while losing some audio quality) but you may be able to do that with the 414 as well. Does that help? Cheers, Kaleb. - Thu, 22 Jun 2006 4:11am
