| JC User Info... | Hey, We're a relatively new band in town. We both play guitar. We're 21 and 25. We're into The Cure, Sonic Youth, The Pixies. We have about an hour's worth of cool songs and want to start playing shows very soon. My email addres is [email protected] The problem that we're having is folks who seemingly have a very easy time saying "I wanna be in a band" but have a very difficult time actually showing up for rehersals. Some of their reasons/excuses are relatively good ones. I understand that everyone has to have day (or night) jobs and that everyone has other responsabilities, etc. However, if I found that my job, or anything else in my life, was interfering with music I would find a way to resolve that. Am I completely alone? I love playing music. But, also, I am completely compelled to make music. It is absolutely everything to me and, as such, I would jam almost every day if I could. I'm looking for a bassist and drummer who love playing music and can't imagine not playing music. We will be doing a short tour (about 2 weeks) this fall and possibly next spring as well. We plan on being ready to record an EP early this fall (before we go on tour). If you play bass and/or drums, are at least kind of interested in the influences I have mentioned, and are very serious about putting your full effort into a band please send me an e-mail address above.
