| :: sean r thomas :: User Info... | Are you a bassist or drummer who is wants to play in a relaxed, flexible and casual atmosphere? Do you have a few spare hours a week to devote to music? You may very well be in luck! I am a 25 year-old singer/songwriter who has been performing solo for a few years. I�ve also played bass in various bands including: petty forward thought, ECTO-ONE, WROUGHT: ironsmile, Missiles to Heaven, Jackie and the Reckless Abandon and (most recently) Ghosts as their tour bassist. I�m looking to find some musicians to collaborate with and play shows in Victoria and the lower mainland. I�ve got to be honest however. This isn�t going to be our meal ticket. I�ve got a day-job and a family and I am not looking to make a million bucks writing the next number one hit. If we manage to break even and sell a few CDs, I�m happy. My influences include: Bruce Springsteen, Damien Jurado, Pete Yorn, Coldplay, Death Cab for Cutie, Jimmy Eat World (their early stuff), Foo Fighters, Bob Dylan and more. What I�ve got: A van, a jam space (though its current status is kind of in limbo), my own gear, an extensive back-catalogue of songs and some spare time a couple of evenings a week to work on music. What you have: A genuine love of music, a casual outlook, a good harness of your instrument, your own reliable gear and a willingness to work on music simply because you love it. If you�re already in a band and are looking to maybe use this opportunity to hone your skills or vary your influences, by all means drop me a line. Essentially, I�m not some crazed nutjob who expects cultic devotion just because we play music together. I welcome your comments and questions.
