Message Board > Seeking Musicians > Melodic death metal band (Reaver) needs a new vocalist |
Pure User Info... | Reaver, a serious Victoria Melo-Death band, is now looking for a full-time vocalist. We have a show booked for April 17th at evolution and afterwards we will be recording a demo so we'd like someone who is willing to devote a lot of time at first to get up to speed (We have 6 songs right now, with the average song length being around 5-6 minutes). Our songs can be described as similar to the swedish melodic death sound with an added epicness to the songs and an emphasis on dual guitar melodies and changing dynamics. What we are looking for in a vocalist: - If the project suits their taste, must be willing to devote a decent amount of time (2-3 nights a week) - We need someone who can mostly scream but actual singing ability is a huge plus since there are some opportunities for clean singing if you should choose to take them - We definitelly want someone with familiarity with heavy metal. We are looking for a death metal singer (At the Gates, Colony era In Flames, Bodom, etc) not a hardcore singer. - Must be able to write own lyrics for new songs - Must be within ages 19-26 - strong stage presence and experience are a huge plus Anyways, I'm probably forgetting some stuff but we just basically want someone to sign up to melt some faces with us and have some fun doing it. Doesnt matter if you are male/female as long as you can scream! I look forward to hearing from you! - Wed, 26 Mar 2008 10:09am

Doc User Info... | Hey there. Are you flexible on the age at all? I love In Flames and Bodom, also like Opeth and I'm into screaming and singing. Alas, I am 29 and outside of your age range. Just wondering, are you looking for vocals in the vein of In Flames and Bodom, or are you seeking a more traditional "cookie monster" death vocalist? Would like to hear back from you. ~Now, WHY would I want to put ice in my whiskey? Doc - Wed, 26 Mar 2008 6:29pm
