| JimmyJames User Info... | Victoria - no egos please - experience #1 key. Drummer has jammed for 24 years & vox/guitatist for 9 years. Goal to produce, gig & record hit original songs THAT SOUND DIF'T; AS EVERY SONG SHOULD SOUND DIF'T in style/ tempo / changes & breaks.( WE each have own cpu/mixer/condensor mics/software) to record & rock victoria's clubs & radio stations; bassist must be funky & tight, with versatile styles & able to make tuesday/ wed. night jams & have $ for jam spot unless have a place we could rehearse tues/wed night. Guitarist must have EXPERIENCE & an original sound; & many pedals/amps/efx to jam dif't styles & tempos with the many drum beats thrown at him (double kick)- must be able to make Tues./Wed. night jams & put $ in for jam spot unless either bassist or guitarist already has a place to jam. Chillis/Pearl Jam/BuzzCockstempos/STP/MiNistry/9inch nails/old police/nirvana/Beastie Boys, new age heavy. | jim User Info... | I'm currently jamming with very creative drummer, with whom i have about an albums worth of great tunes, ready to go...I've sang up till now... can write a great melody, but have pretty deep vocals so am open to getting another singer in... definately up for a jam sometime... could give you copy of last album I released with a line-up that we called Universal Surf... Played around town for about a year and a half... then the drummer did his impression of a brain anurism, and I'm onto my next project...Tony Iommi is my hero, but my greatest high is when I write, so expect alot of songs in the old vault... my old band and I backed up Quiot riot, played Sooke Feast and got one of our songs on a skateboard video... just waiting for the bass to either catch fire or move over????????? phone me 6523544 - Mon, 14 Oct 2002 7:47pm | ||
| The Other Guy | I am in somewhat in the same position as the both of you. Im a Guitarist,who can sing,play base ,has good gear but cannot find someone to write lyricks and sing, male or female. | Brendan | Hey guys, I'm a solid experienced guitarist who is looking to get something going. I have been in a couple of bands over the past few years, as guitarist/songwriter and part time singer. I have a place to jam in my house, completely stocked with gear. I've been playing for 12 years. My last band was accustommed to improvising so I think I can keep up with whatever tempo changes you guys can toss my way. I know I've got what it takes to rock the Victoria scene so lets do it up. Any time in the week works for me. Give me a call, 477-9049 anytime before midnight. I want to play funk rock. Not any lame whiteboy funk, but the seriously fat, heavy and funky shit like the Chilis. I was just saying to my roomate, who happens to be the drummer of my last band, that my favorite bands of the 1990's were Black Crowes, STP, Pearl Jam and Blind Melon.
