| tim1961 User Info... | hi iam moving to the island soon and am looking for a working or soon to be working band here is part of my bioHi my name is Tim Ironmonger. I started drumming at age 7 in 1968. My bio includes the following bands I have played for; Tophat, Mike Kennedy and The New Directions, No Left Turn, Foxx Roxx, all from Powell River 1970's to 1980's. In 1985 I moved to Vancouver and played in the following acts; Cradle, Ruf-Howzer, Mantissa, Planet Blues, Strait-Shooter. i have had quite a few star moments ,one that stays with me is when i had answered a ad in the georgia strait, and when i arrived it was at the old thearter on clarke drive that jon bon jovi were finishing up the rehersals for the bad medicine tour,and my drum demo was playing in the office and richie sambora and jon bon jovi liked what they heard and told the manager thats your drummer right there he has solid timing fantastic meter and hits those drum with a power and confidence, needless to say i got the gig, 1 week later we added the bass player from vancover recording act idle eyes soon after the band was ready to go into full production mode ,and that friday night i had signed the contracts to go around this country playing rock and roll tour bus and all. I have toured all over western Canada. When I was not on tour I could be found playing drums at jam sessions including, Outlaws, Frams, the Yale and other A-room clubs. Some of the talent I have been fortunate to jam with are players from the following acts; Prism, Trooper, Loverboy, bryan adams, Powder Blues, Streetheart, Kd. Lang, Sarah Mclachlin. I was also able to play with Danny (rip) Tripper and Gerry Doucette regularly at the Yale and American hotel. I am very versatile and can fill in at a moment's notice. I have excellent meter and attitude. My gear consists of a professional 12-piece pearl drum kit and I also have a set of vintage Ludwigs. I live in Powell River with my wife and kids and various animals. Willing to travel.
