| ::Saint:: User Info... | The Black Orchid Rebellion is on the hunt for a fourth band member to help fill out our sound and hopefully to give our singer a bit of break on guitar. What we're looking for is someone who can preferably do a mixture of guitar and keyboards, although not a must. We'd like somebody who can create a variety of different sound palettes, sort of in the Muse-y / Radiohead-y / U2-y kind of vein, as well as being able to just flat out rock when necessary. Someone with a keen ear for sounds and effects would work out wonderfully! It looks like we have at least a couple of shows lined up around the end of June, so we'd like to get someone started learning the material as soon as possible, and we'll also be doing some somewhat casual recording over the next little bit. | EchoHead User Info... | Sure. That's kinda what I do: play atmospheric, trippy guitar. I pretty much rely on Echo and other effects to make my sound. Andy Summers and the Edge essentially taught me how to play the guitar the way I want to play it. Oh yeah, and Mike Campbell. I am also a big fan of small combo power pop rock groups along the lines of the Beatles, to similar style bands of the past 20 years or so: Odds, Oasis, the La's, Crowded House, and so on...
